Social Communication

Una delle esigenze principali per un’organizzazione o una associazione non profit è quella di riuscire a comunicare in maniera efficace e riconoscibile la propria identità e attività. Tra le varie metodologie comunicative a disposizione la narrazione (o quello che viene definito storytelling) è la strategia più vicina al mondo del sociale perché riesce a promuovere e valorizzare le relazioni già presenti tra l’organizzazione, il territorio e le persone coinvolte nelle attività. L’intervento del workshop ha proprio lo scopo di introdurre alcune strategie di comunicazione sociale utilizzando il metodo dello storytelling e apportando casi studio e buone pratiche già sperimentate.

El presente artículo realiza una lectura de los
usos del humor en la revista de actualidad El
Burgués, editada entre 1971 y 1973. El análisis
se basa en tres ejes: en primer lugar, se presenta
el sitio de la publicación en sus diversos contextos; en segundo término, se analiza cómo el
humor se utilizó para promover una visión binaria de la política; tercero, la cuestión del cambio
social desde la óptica política y humorística del
quincenario. Se propone que el estudio de las
pautas humorísticas de la revista es un punto
atendible para plasmar un tópico no atendido
por la bibliografía sobre el liberal-conservadurismo en esos años: el humor como herramienta
política.

This dissertation investigates the moral issues related to the circulation of humanitarian campaign KONY 2012 on the Internet, which was created by the organization Invisible Children (IC) in 2012. This campaign has asked people to request international authorities for military support to the Uganda’s government so it can extinguish the actions of Joseph Kony, a leader of a movement responsible for the committal of many heinous crimes. This research is justified by the need to understand the cyber mediated communication and cultural phenomena, which put to the test modes of socialization and political organization, ethical standards and moral positions. Thus, this study is developed with observations and historical and sociological confrontations, seeking to understand the ambiguities and paradoxes of contemporary socialities. Based on methodological perspective indicated by Rüdiger (2011), this phenomenon is studied in two axes: movement and countermovement. The KONY 2012 movement consists in audiovisual productions and text comments that were important to the popularization of the cause. In its turn, the countermovement KONY 2012, in addition of severous audiovisual productions and text comments, also consists of actions that denied the campaign. To conduct the reflections about this subject, this study was guided by theoretical discussions about morals and morality in the postmodern world, based in Giddens (1991), Lipovestky (1994), Vattimo (1994) and Bauman (1997) perspectives. In this investigation, we realized that the movement and countermovement KONY 2012 showed that, despite the
apparent unquestionability of the cause, the moral responsibility in the postmodern context remains complex and problematic. On the one hand, it records the possibility of free encounter with other worlds and ways; of the enjoyment of the free will, as an oscillatory experience
between belonging and rootlessness in the society of generalized communication. On the other hand, the situation of morality in this context reveals the irresponsibility of subjects: the experimentation and the everyday spontaneous fruition, of the being and of the living on the
basis of aesthetic sense, seem to be the best interests. Thus, we discuss that the said emancipatory technologies are not favorable when there is lack of awareness and moral responsibility.

TV series such as The Sopranos and Breaking Bad with their antihero protagonists (Tony Soprano and Walter White) have brought narrative, aesthetic and thematic innovations, broadening the cinematographic horizon beyond standards that, until recently, were more or less homogeneous. In this study, it is argued that such narratives and their antiheroes conform allegories to the fortune of contemporary morality — drawn by analysts such as Lipovetsky (1994) and Bauman (1997). This material contrasts with the singular typology of the American anti-hero of the literary fictional romances of the 1960s, developed by Simmons (2008). If this anti-hero emerged in a countercultural context and had an important role of social and political criticism, his postmodern double is antagonistic, extolling, in turn, aspects dictated by the mainstream in contemporary times, such as individualism, consumerism and the weakening of moral responsibility. From a theoretical survey and the comparative analysis of the communicational products and the antiheroes inserted here, it is observed that these, as well as the conflicts, polemics, representations and provocations that evoke, have potency, by allowing the audience to dialogue and philosophical exercise on the issues they develop.

ABSTRACT Most young people (at least in countries were social communication technologies are established from a long run) carry mobile devices, surf the Internet and download music. They are always connected and live in a world where the distinction between virtual and real fade. The design of new interfaces becomes, in this context, a complex activity that involves a series of methodological problems. To one side designers have to create interfaces using basic HCI principles, on the other side they have to merge them with others ICT principles able to support social aspects, bearing in mind that they are addressing the above described generation of younger. Is our opinion that designers can find useful suggestion in game design strategies. Looking at games interface design choices, in fact, can help software engineers to improve the usability of other types of - more conventional - applications. In order to demonstrate this we will compare two social web applications: the new Facebook website and a French online game, Hordes.

Die gesellschaftliche Verständigung über eine zukunftsfähige Gestaltung von Ernährung ist durch Komplexität und Multiperspektivität geprägt-kaum ein anderes menschliches Bedürf-nisfeld ist so basal, omnipräsent und gesellschaftlich differenziert. Der folgende Beitrag zeigt auf, vor welchen Herausforderungen die Ernährungskommunikation steht, wenn die kom-plexen Zusammenhänge Nachhaltigkeit und Ernährung vermittelt werden sollen. Dafür wird in einem ersten Schritt dargelegt, mit welchem Verständnis von Ernährungskommunikation derzeit wissenschaftlich und auch in der Praxis argumentiert wird, und die Notwendigkeit eines Verständnisses aufgezeigt, das die Mehrdimensionalität von Ernährung aufgreift. Dafür wird in einem zweiten Schritt der Bedürfnisfeldansatz herangezogen, um die Komplexität des Feldes sowie handlungsleitende Strukturen zu verdeutlichen, und dieser dann um die Pers-pektive auf Ernährung als ein gesellschaftliches Totalphänomen ergänzt. Der dritte Schritt eröffnet durch das Rekurrieren auf die Systemtheorie die Möglichkeit, öffentliche Ernäh-rungskommunikation als gesellschaftliche Kommunikation zu verstehen, und es können schließlich Forschungsperspektiven aufgezeigt werden, die basierend auf einem konstruk-tivistischen Kommunikationsverständnis Ansatzpunkte für die Analyse und Gestaltung der gesellschaftlichen Auseinandersetzung über nachhaltige Ernährung und entsprechender Kom-munikationsstrategien liefern. Hinführung Ernähren müssen wir uns alle. Dennoch scheint die Auseinandersetzung mit Ernährung »everybody's concern but nobody's speciality« zu sein, wie Harrison (1998: 141) zur ver-hältnismäßig zögerlichen wissenschaftlichen Hinwendung zu dem Phänomen angemerkt hat. Den Grund dafür sieht Harrison unter anderem in der scheinbaren Profanität von Ernährung. Darüber hinaus ist jedoch die dem Phänomen Ernährung inhärente Komple-xität anzuführen, sodass Ernährung als Querschnittsproblem bezeichnet werden kann und daher nicht unbedingt in einer Disziplin zu verorten beziehungsweise zu bearbeiten ist.

The necessity of social understanding regarding the future of the food system has gained increasing societal and scientific attention in recent years. Using the concept of sustainability as a framework for discussion can help us reflect on the phenomenon of food in depth and to discuss how we will shape our food system and nourish ourselves in the future. The aim of the newly developing social science-based research field of food communication is to analyse the discourse of food within society and to rethink the way in which food communication in the professions
and research is conceived and realized. This is in order to produce insights that will help society handle the complexity of the issues through self-reflection and to highlight possibilities for applicable communication approaches.

Repertoire of library-information resources, acquisition of resources in the process of organizing the information service and in the implementation of library policy, democratic principles are an important requirement for modern cultural society. In the context of global economic development and public international integration, Its role increases more and more as time went on. Con el objetivo de relevar y analizar algunas metáforas aparecidas en artículos y libros con fines de divulgación de las ciencias, visibilizar metáforas sexistas e identificar las marcas de racionalidad comunicacional que las constituyen como tales, en el presente trabajo
proponemos realizar un recorrido de sentido por el discurso científico. Con una perspectiva de análisis en clave de género, buscamos dilucidar junto al lector si es posible que a partir de la utilización de metáforas que buscan comunicar un conocimiento, un resultado o proceso científico, un objeto de estudio o una elaboración científica, se reproduzcan y proliferen narrativas, discursos y representaciones sexistas, masculinistas y androcéntricas dentro de las ciencias (y desde las ciencias hacia los públicos), ejerciendo influencia (dada por la autoridad conferida a quien habla) en la forma como significamos y organizamos el mundo social- material.

The premise of this paper is that the potential of public media has been underused in the projects of democratizing states and democratizing media. We would like to see what the realistic options are for the
public media sector to develop as a hub of creative production and citizenship for domestic content producers and beneficiaries. It might be high time to reconsider public options, in the event of failing markets and uneven results of citizen or community journalism projects. I believe that one cannot impose quality journalism where there is no market demand for it, and one can hardly invent civil society in areas where there has been none. At the same time, it might be at least thinkable to envision democratic governance, pluralism, a public interest agenda, and fun in a public media system. I still remember the dull television offer of the Romanian State Television (TVR) before the fall of communism in 1989. At the same time, I remember as well the interesting and culturally aimed magazines that were widely available and widely read.

This study is designed to clarify important features of social network analysis for analyzing community-based activities in a CSCL setting. The theoretical and methodological background is social/communication network analysis, which is employed to identify and understand students' communication and interaction patterns when collaborating through wireless computer networking tools. Thirty-two students were given high-end laptops with access to the wireless Internet,
