The aim of these examinations undertaken by their authors was to run analysis concerning types and frequency of comorbid disorders occurrence in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders (ADHD) children and teenagers. Research, carried out from May 2005 to January 2007, in the area of the Lódź province, used a questionnaire, worked out by the above authors, addressed to parents of ADHD children and teenagers (research made in schools and among patients contacting the Clinical Psychology Institute of CZMP), and the study of medical documentation. 28 persons, 5 girls and 23 boys made the research group 7 to 13 years old (with an average age of 10.2), who had previously been ADHD diagnosed. Out of disorders pointed out by parents, school problems of different degree of intensity appeared the most frequent ones, (39% of the examined) 18% with diagnosed dyslexia, head injuries (in 12 cases--26%), bed-wetting at 8 boys (17% of all registered diseases). Background: Dyslipidemia is a metabolic disorder that results from imbalanced and overfeeding as well as sedentary life. Elevated blood lipid levels can affect cochlear blood flow and fluidity, leading to decreased hearing and tinnitus. We aimed to determine whether there is a relationship between tinnitus and dyslipidemia by investigating the blood lipoprotein values of patients with tinnitus.Methods: The lipid profiles of the patients with idiopathic tinnitus who were selected among the patients who applied to Istanbul Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital with the complaint of tinnitus between January 2019 and May 2020 were examined. Few studies to date have investigated retained work ability. The aim of this explorative study was to describe female assistant nurses' experiences of high work attendance over the years The setting is a municipality in mid-Sweden that employs 466 female assistant nurses permanently within municipal elderly care. A qualitative methodology was chosen and thematic, open-ended, interviews were carried out with 12 female assistant nurses. The interviewees were selected from the 117 women who had taken the least amount of sick leave over the past five years, which meant no sick leave at all or no more than 5 days. The interviews were transcribed verbatim, and thereafter a content analysis was carried out. Carbapenem resistance is a major and an on-going public health problem globally. It occurs mainly among Gram-negative pathogens such as , and baumannii, and may be intrinsic or mediated by transferable carbapenemase-encoding genes. This type of resistance genes are already widespread in certain parts of the world, particularly Europe, Asia and South America, while the situation in other places such as sub-Saharan Africa is not well documented. In this paper, we provide an in-depth review of carbapenem resistance providing up-to-date information on the subject.

BACKGROUND: Massive pulmonary embolism (MPE) is in most cases an unpredictable, life-threatening lung injury. In order to test this shock and its natural sequence, MPE animal model was established. Based on previous models, discussed within the article framework, this model was designed to closely narrate clinical pulmonary embolism. METHODS: MPE was induced by a single injection of minced radioactive blood thrombi into an internal jugular vein. Thrombi were prepared from the autologous blood of each animal. Using rabbit model allowed sampling and recording additional data necessary for better analysis. Clotting additives were used for rapid clot stabilization. Clot was stabilized at room temperature for one hour and separated into micro-emboli of comparable size prior to the intravenous injection. Pulmonary embolism (PE) and deep vein thrombosis (DVT) are associated with considerable morbidity and mortality, mostly, in case of PE for its lack of sensitivity of its early detection. Extrinsic pathway activation of protease thrombin through FVIIa and tissue factor (TF) in sepsis help activate its endothelial cell (EC) membrane Protease Activated Receptor 1 (PAR-1).
