Manuscritos Epigráficos

A recently published contribution to a book on death and funeral matters in the Western Roman Provinces. Our chapter deals with several rather intriguing funerary monuments, some of them carrying epitaphs, which are circumscribed to some part of Roman Lusitania. We provide an illustrated catalogue of the known instances and try to offer an explanation of their possible origin and function.
