Input-Output Analysis

La oralidad y escritura en lenguas extranjeras, parte en primera medida de la
adquisición, entendida como un proceso no consciente de apropiación de una lengua, y no
necesariamente del aprendizaje de esta, que sería simplemente su conocimiento estructural. El
elemento principal de este proceso de adquisición es el input al cual debe verse expuesto el
estudiante, y que tiene como condición ser comprensible, de tal manera que como resultado
progresivo del proceso se produzca el output (oralidad o escritura) y se abandone el uso de la lengua
materna que es usada como refuerzo en las primeras etapas de acercamiento a una lengua extranjera
pero que representa en algunos casos una interferencia. Desde otras perspectivas, la oralidad
presenta también unas funciones específicas que intervienen durante el proceso de adquisición, es
decir que en este caso deja de ser vista como un resultado y pasa a formar parte del proceso mismo,
por lo que cabe cuestionarse más al respecto de su incidencia y su papel en la adquisición.

La reducción de emisiones de CO2 es uno de los objetivos principales del Protocolo de Kioto para la lucha contra el cambio climático a nivel global. Un instrumento fundamental para lograr una reducción significativa de las emisiones es la incorporación de tecnologías de captura, transporte y almacena-miento del CO2 en los procesos productivos energéticos. El desarrollo y la utilización comercial de estas tecnologías suponen un elevado coste, siendo necesario conocer su impacto económico, social y medioambiental. En este artículo se lleva a cabo una evaluación de dichos impactos debidos a las in-versiones iniciales necesarias para la implementación de estas tecnologías en el sector eléctrico español. Para llevar a cabo este análisis se utiliza un modelo multisectorial que permite identificar los sectores económicos que se ven más beneficiados por las inversiones tanto directa como indirectamente. Adicionalmente, se utilizan estadísticas del mercado laboral para analizar el tipo de empleo creado durante el desarrollo de las infraestructuras necesarias.

In recent decades, fishing sustainability has been subject to intense international debate. Overfishing and contamination of the marine environment are elements that contribute to a reduction in fish stock and catches, often leading to declining income and employment, especially in rural areas. We present a sustainable fisheries model that promotes artisanal fishing while incorporating replacement rates of fish stock and actions that benefit the fishing industry. First, the sustainable fisheries model defines the guidelines and actions that may apply either together or independently, sequentially, or simultaneously, according to a defined budget. These concrete actions are quantified and incorporated into an environmentally extended input-output model to evaluate the economic impact on the Spanish fishing industry. The impact is complemented with an assessment of social impact (employment) and environmental impact (estimated reduction of CO 2 emissions).

Introducción Desde el impulso inicial de Wassily Leontief y Richard Stone, son numerosos los desarrollos, modelos y aplicaciones que han tenido como base la Tabla Input Output (TIO) o la Matriz de Contabilidad Social (SAM). Para Stone (1985) la construcción de las tablas input-output se ha sistematizado con el desarrollo de la contabilidad nacional para cuyo año base se elabora una TIO. En relación con el desarrollo estadístico de las tablas, cita numerosos trabajos sobre la estabilidad, el ajuste y la proyección de coeficientes técnicos, sobre precios, sobre matrices de coeficientes de capital y sobre tablas regionales. En lo relativo al desarrollo del modelo input-output abierto de Leontief, hacía referencia a los procesos de endogenización de componentes de la demanda final (en particular del consumo de las familias), la generalización de las funciones de producción (utilizando cambios en los coeficientes, funciones con factores intermedios y primarios, o funciones de coste según la propuesta de generalización de Diewert, 1971), y los trabajos sobre aspectos dinámicos del modelo, tanto teóricos como aplicados en el contexto de la simulación, del control y de la optimización. Y sobre las extensiones del modelo input-output, destacaba el tema de la contaminación ambiental (con coeficientes de emisiones contaminantes e industrias de descontaminación), de la distribución de la renta (en el contexto más amplio de las matrices de contabilidad social), del patrimonio y de los flujos financieros, y del comercio internacional (en los modelos multinacionales/multisectoriales, entre los que destaca el modelo de la economía mundial de Leontief. Miller y Blair (2009) constituye hoy día una buena referencia para conocer la evolución histórica del modelo de Leontief y la gran cantidad de extensiones metodológicas a que ha dado lugar. En el ambito de la economía laboral los modelos input_output han tenido, sin embargo, un desarrollo mucho más limitado. Fue en la segunda mitad del siglo XX cuando se iniciaron diversos análisis input-output centrados en el uso del tiempo en la economía alemana que dieron lugar a las Tablas Input Output del Tiempo (TIOT) (Stänglin. R.;1973). Pero a pesar de haberse recogido está metodología en el manual que publico Eurostat sobre la elaboración de los marcos input-output (Eurostat, 2008), apenas hay investigaciones y análisis con este tipo de tablas. En este estudio se obtienen la TIOT para la economía española de 2016 y partiendo de los análisis de Passinetti y Saffra sobre relaciones interindustriales, se plantea un análisis input-output sobre la base de la TIOT que da lugar a un modelo abierto de Leontief y a un modelo de precios sombra para las horas trabajadas, que pueden ser utilizados para análisis de los impactos sobre el PIB que podría originar la perdida de horas laborales asociada al estado de excepción ordenado por el COVID-19.

This work introduces a hypothetical extraction method (HEM) using weighted multipliers approach through input–output analysis, in combination with an institutional approach, to assess productivity growth in industries in both the domestic consumption goods and export goods sectors. It aims to concretely define what creates industrial growth models and to discover why some industries are less competitive than others and end up with trade deficits. For the research, China and Turkey were compared with each other. This research reveals that the transport equipment industry while China’s growth was consumption-led, Turkey’s was export growth. Both countries experienced trade deficits in the transport equipment industry, which is related to the automotive industry. The main differences in the industrial growth models of the two countries are assessed by looking at institutional factors.

In this paper we employ the World Input-Output Database to develop a multi-sector inter-country model that allows us to identify the channels through which the trade effects of Brexit would propagate. The inclusion of global value chains and indirect Brexit effects in the model leads to estimates that diverge with the results of the main literature. Indeed, we found that Brexit could be risky and costly not only for the UK but also for many EU countries. Furthermore , we develop a second model and present the first empirical analysis on the consequences of domestic import substitution and trade diversion policies in Input-Output schemes. We found that allowing sectors and countries to partly substitute foreign products, leads to significantly lower losses for both macro-regions: the UK and EU27 would lose, at worst, the 0.28 and 0.5 percent of value-added, respectively.

The aim of the study is to minimize the cost of capital investments in large-scale infrastructure railway projects with a fixed end-use fund. To achieve this goal, several problems have to be solved: the modification of the optimization of inter-regional model of railway transport (OMMM-ZHDT) is considered, and the analysis of the possibilities of using the theory of mutual problems is carried out. The following hypothesis of the solution of the given problem situation is proposed: to integrate the theory of mutual problems into the OMMM-ZHDT, namely, to consider investments as limited resources on the one hand and to maximize the satisfaction of social needs, on the other hand. The method proposed by A.G. Aganbegian and K.A. Bagrinovsky is used to solve this problem, which consists in finding the best distribution of scarce resources by solving two problems: in one of the problems, the objective function is maximized, which acts as a restriction for the other, and Vice versa, the minimized objective function of the second task is a restriction for the first. The study shows that on the one hand, the end-use fund which acts as a restriction for the second is maximized, and on the other hand, the minimized volumes of investments serve as a restriction for the end-use fund. The achieved results allow optimizing investment costs and implementing a large number of large infrastructure railway projects.

The paper analyzes the interaction of the railway industry with other sectors of the economy using the input-output tables published by Russian Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) in 2017 after a long pause. The added value of transport industries is being compared. The influence of railway tariffs on the price level in other sectors has been determined. The most sensitive sectors to tariff changes have been identified, as well as industrial relations of railway transport with other sectors. Rail transport is the most significant sector of the economy, since it has the functions of sustainable livelihood of vast territories, and socioeconomic relations, and the provision of military security. In this context, the development of rail transport infrastructure directly affects the development of other sectors of the economy and the development of new territories. As a result of the calculations, we received a list of industries whose prices are largely dependent on rail transport tariffs.

Studiul incearca sa ofere un raspuns intrebarii: unde ne aflăm cu analiza raportului capital-muncă?, analizand drumul de la producție la salariu și profit, precum si mecanismele de distribuire şi redistribuire a valorii nou create. Lucrarea arata ca in loc de “flexibilizarea muncii” a avut loc fragilizarea muncii şi consolidarea capitalului, concomitent cu polarizarea veniturilor şi a economisirii în România.
Se arata ca, actualmente, pentru îmbunătățirea procesului distributiv în România, cu efecte directe favorabile asupra creșterii PIB, se impune desfășurarea unui DIALOG activ, transparent și constructiv între partenerii sociali, respectiv patronate, sindicate și guvern (cu un rol important al statului pentru educarea economico-financiară a participanţilor la dezbateri) → prin acest dialog se va putea regla, în mod dinamic, fără afectarea competitivității economice, raportul dintre remunerarea capitalului și a muncii din perspectiva menținerii unui echilibru durabil între eficiență și echitate, menit să asigure consolidarea coeziunii și stabilității sociale.
