Commento analitico ai capitoli 75-77 del Satyricon, porzione del romanzo petroniano nota come "autobiografia di Trimalchione". La figura letteraria di Trimalchione è stata costruita da Petronio come rappresentante di un preciso ceto sociale: quello dei liberti arricchiti presenti nell'area commerciale campana che aspirano ad un riconoscimento nel tessuto sociale grazie alle loro cospicue possibilità economiche.

Ova bi knjiga bila još jedna u nizu rasprava o povijesti Rima da nije autoričina jedinstvenoga gledanja na povijesna zbivanja, njezina zanimanja za pojedinosti koje tu povijest čine i osebujnog stila kojim oblikuje svoje znanstvene interese i spoznaje.

In the perspective of the publication of the festive issues minted under the reign of Emperor Probus in Rome (under press, Numismatische Zeitschrift 2019), the gold minted in 282 to celebrate in Rome Probus' triumph is presented here (aurei and "denarii" on aureus dies), with a study of its die-linkings, of its complex iconography, of the imperial gesture (esp. the "two-fingers" gesture) and of it probable recipients.

The luxurious calendar book termed the Chronograph of 354  has been used as a principal source for the history of religion—paganism  as well as Christianity.  Its calendars, in the form of Roman fasti supply isolated evidence for the religion of the fourth century . As Christian ferialia,  they offer the first extant evidence for a Christian liturgical calendar. Since there has never been any question about the Christian identity of the producer or the original recipient, analysis has concentrated on the degree of Christianization evidenced by the contents of the document. The simultaneous presence of pagan and Christian material has been seen as an indicator of the process of Christianization of the Roman aristocracy during the fourth century. 
An inquiry into multiplicities of religious roles offers an opportunity to question the binary opposition underlying many analyses of the document and to reclaim it for the history of religious individualization, thereby opening the way for a new perspective on the place of religion in late ancient society and on the complex nature of religion. It is the aim of this paper to identify more clearly the social and cultural place of a codex which has not been preserved, but which can be reconstructed, as a result of the interest and care of later users and copyists, in its contents, wording, and in its visual shape.  This offers the basis for a careful analysis of the book, not only as a compilation and object of Quellenforschung, but as a fairly unified creation.

Il libro ricostruisce la vita di Flavio Giuseppe a partire dalla genesi delle sue opere alla luce degli studi più recenti in materia. Attenzione particolare è riservata alla questione se Flavio Giuseppe debba o meno essere considerato un traditore del suo popolo. L'analisi induce alla conclusione apparentemente paradossale che Flavio Giuseppe deve essere considerato un traditore piuttosto quando militava nelle file dei ribelli come generale che dopo la sua resa, quando si prodigò per la causa di Roma.

This article proposes an analysis of the reuse of the topos according to which virtue is superior to statues for the survival of the memory of the princes in an extract from the LXXIV (or LXXIII) book of Cassius Dio and in chapter 55 of the Pliny the Younger’s Panegyricus.
