From the 16th century onwards, ribbons became fashionable objects in both clothing and home interiors as accessory and symbolic items representing global commodities capable of connecting different regions of the world.

Using this commodity chain as case-study, this lecture will show the multiplicity of ways in which merchant-capitalism asserted itself in the "Empire of Fashion", combining various degrees of labour coercion, stimulating manufacturing changes and growing exploitation of female and child labour.

This article examines the clothing accessory choices of Rachel, Countess of Bath, for the period of her first marriage, 1639–54. Her General Account Book listing purchases she made, and the other account books, from the Tawstock Estate in Devon and the London household, show the accessories she bought, both for herself and her servants. It will consider how much she spends on her accessories and, through the evidence of surviving tradesmen's and individuals' probate inventories, whether these accessories were also available and purchased by women lower down the social scale. It will look at the differences in accessory costs and fabrics across society.

The 16th century, in the west Europe, brought revolution in thought, historical formation, and
in social theory in general yet disastrous effects on African continent and the rest of the nonwestern Europe. The subject who rely on intuitive qualities of the mind to establish truthvalue was born in the 16th century. Modern subject killed the medieval subject who used the
scripture as a tool of enquiry to establish the truth.

The focus of this study in occupational mapping is on combining locational data for early modern occupations with a contemporary town plan of Edinburgh, in order to study occupational distribution in the urban environment. Much work has recently been done on the social, economic and occupational structure of burghs, but very little has been done on the physical locations of the various work-types. By combining data from a 1635 tax roll with the corresponding section of the 1647 Gordon of Rothiemay map of Edinburgh, a new tool was formed for visualizing the distribution and physical patterns of urban occupations in the south-east quarter of Scotland’s capital.

The study analyzes the History of Muhammad Giray (Târîh-i Mehmed Giray),
which is a general history of Crimean Khanates and Ottomans, covers the years of
A.H.1094-1115/A.D.1682-1703. The book starts with praise to be God, bless to the
Prophet and Sultan Muhammad IV, than tries to explain the situation of the Ottoman
Empire just before Vienna Siege II and narrates the political events.
Muhammad Giray, in his book, gives the events in chronological order
according to the Crimean Khans’ and Ottomans Sultans’ reaching to power. The events,
related each other, given without the chronology. The book not only records the political
events but also gives some astronomical and interesting incidents. Târîh-i Mehmed Giray
is a very important history book on Crimean Khanate and Ottomans in the end of XVIIth
and in the beginning of XVIIIth Centuries. As a witness of his age, the author records the
political events in Crimean Khanate according to the Khans own reports.

Report (takrir) that we have discussed here and assumed that it was written at
the end of 1525 and at the beginning of 1526 is one of the important sources about the first quarter of the XVI. century. It isn’t certainly known who has written the report. The report includes important information about condition of Mecca, Medina, Damascus, Zabid, Yemen, Ethiopia, Jeddah, Egypt, India, Gujarat and about Portugal’s invasion of India. In our study we discussed the writer of this source who hasn’t attracted attention hitherto, when it was written and what kind of information it includes about the said areas

Abstract
This article examines the socio-economic relations between two distinct trade
partners over a time span of a hundred years: the Kingdom of Portugal on
the one hand and the Hanseatic League on the other hand. By reconsidering
the legal conditions of long distance trade at the end of the Late Middle
Ages and the beginning of the Renaissance Period, the study also aims to
define the Hanseatic League as one of Portugal’s trade partners by looking
at its characteristics along with two of the most important commodities of
exchange: salt and timber.
