Amphoras and stamped amphora handles

EN- In this report, information about stamped amphoras which used in overseas trade in ancient times. The contributions of stamped amphorae to archeology and the work of archaeologists, and their studies based on stamps and inscriptions, have included many studies on determining workshop locations, symbols, products and goods in the terracotta pots.

This note describes a new pottery stamp found during an archaeological survey of the Roman army camp at Castillejo, Numantia, Spain. The stamp was printed on an amphorae handle (probably a Dressel 1A  type) and names a BVRRIA, so far the first-known ocurrence of this figlinarius.

Se describe un sello anfórico descubierto durante una prospección arqueológico del recinto campamental romano de Castillejo, Garray Soria. La estampilla, impresa sobre un fragmento de as de ánfora vinaria (probablemente tipo Dressel A1) contiene el nombre BVRRIA, que es, por lo que nos alcanza, el primer testimonio de este alfarero o propietario de figlina.
