One of the most powerful tools humans have from which to learn is observation, in context . . . Galileo, the father of modern science, gave humanity this lesson in spades. When we see the same result from similar events on multiple occasions we can attribute causation . When we observe similar events and results elsewhere, this is the art of scientific discovery. Those among us who practice 'Observational Technology' are practicing Scientific deduction & discovery . . . in context . . . Our new world order - Social Egalitarianism, Globalization, Environmentalism and Social Engineering in the 21st Century - The Irony of it all . . . Printing money to make up for what we gave away in the name of Environmentalism, to the Third World - Our Economies are dying - Social Elitism has failed - Now the once powerful 'Home-Grown' Unionists ARE the down trodden - They payed the price - while the Elitist Socio-Economic Wisdom thrives - in the West - meanwhile China Laughs - All the way to the Bank. Today China alone, processes 60% of Global Base Metals . . . and all the pollution that goes with it - 25 Chinese Cities now account for 50% of Global CO2 - Out of site - Out of mind . . . The New World Order . . . 30 years since China evolved . . . Western Elitist self-flagellation in the name of Environmentalism - Maintains Total Global Pollution - While stripping the very life out of the Western Economies . . . With no end-gain . . . in Global terms . . . Total GLOBAL Pollution remains the same !!! But we look sooo good . . . on paper . . . and . . . now, we can point fingers at others . . . Such Hypocrisy . . . In context . . .
Global Environmentalism . . . We need a New Standard by which to gauge Pollution. Nations of the world must be judged and compared by a new formula including Population Density and Pollution Per Square Kilometer. The following discussion should be seen as a Socio-Political debate comparing equals on the world stage. Not an Indictment of any one Country or Group of Countries. It is about bringing a fair and balanced way of comparing nations and their relevant pollution between Nations. I hope you enjoy the Read.

As the liberal optimism of the long 1990s has faded into a world of growing inequality and resurging nationalism, there is less certainty about the prospects of economic convergence and global integration. Beyond the formidable human cost of maintaining a divided world, the possibility of incomplete globalisation also gives rise to a number of environmental risks. While environmental political theory generally sees strength in localism, history rather shows that a robust world trade system is crucial to offset local resource scarcities and that cosmopolitan norms of solidarity are essential for helping communities to rebuild after environmental catastrophe. In relation to climate change, statist thinking has led to a focus on non-scalable technologies and a silent acceptance of chronic poverty abroad as a way of avoiding a climate emergency. Contrary to such views, this paper argues that accelerating the transition to a fully integrated high-energy planet may more effectively mitigate Anthropocene risks.
This paper examines the apparent reluctance of governments worldwide to combat the causes and mitigate the known effects of global warming and climate change based on literature content analysis, a local case study and personal experience and observations. The case study involved administering a structured questionnaire on some senior staff personal of key ministries and institution attending to environmental matters in Nigeria to measure the influence of people's location on their perception of the consequences of global warming and climate change. The result shows that the lack of a unified perception on the causes and gravity of global warming and climate change necessitated the lukewarm attitude of governments toward combating the causes and mitigating the consequences of global warming and climate change as exemplified by the global foot-dragging in reducing the emission of greenhouse gases since the 1997 Kyoto Protocol to the 2015 Paris Deal that led to the emergence of a new international law in 2016 that schedules action to begin in 2020. The current divergence consists of the science-backed (IPCC) Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming (CAGW), the skeptical Global Warming Conspiracy theory (also, Climategate) and the political (waiting) Game Theory. In the case of the influence of location on people's perception, the result shows that while people in the northern parts of Nigeria pick intensified drought, desertification and increasing water shortage ahead of other consequences of global warming and climate change, their southern counterparts pick sea surges andcoastal erosion ahead of others. However, the occurrence of flooding scores very high in both environments, but higher in the south. It is recommended that the world should work towards a convergent view on the causes and gravity of global warming and climate change. It is concluded that until this is achieved, the global environment will continue to deteriorate as the world governments continue to engage in an experiment that is like a time bomb waiting to explode in the face of everyone.

Two conditions are stated that must be fulfilled to make sure that the negative effects of environmental pollution and risks stemming from the spread of free markets and technology do not outweigh the beneficial effects of this development. (1) For all activities, all those who may experience the negative effects of the activities must have given their consent to the activities and the conditions under which they are performed. (2) Those who engage in activities without this consent must be held to unlimited and unconditional liability for the negative effects that the activities may cause for those who did not give their consent. These conditions are necessary principles for the responsible management of environmental harm and risks. If the conditions are not satisfied, then the belief that the global spread of free markets and technology is beneficial for all, or does not harm anyone, cannot be justified. Neither of the conditions is fulfilled at present. This is illustrated using...

This article, which draws on the case of 10 young socialists from the urban margins of Istanbul, who were arrested as the result of an anti-terror operation in 2007, provides an ethnographically grounded analysis of Turkey's anti-terror law by examining the threat it poses for the population. Contrary to widespread complaints about a supposed state of lawlessness in Turkey, the article suggests that law, indeed, exists as an overwhelming and ever-present force in the lives of country's alleged internal enemies (i.e. Kurds, socialists, Alevis, non-Muslims), hanging over their lives like the sword of Damocles. Drawing on Walter Benjamin's debate on the similarities between law and myth, the article demonstrates that the ambiguity, illegibility and unpredictability of Turkey's anti-terror law bestows upon the law a mythical and/or sovereign force that controls one's present and future, and hence one's fate. The article also argues that the anti-terror operations that started to take place in the urban margins against Kurdish activists and socialist Alevi youth as early as 2007 were harbingers of a growing lawfare in Turkey, which gradually shifted to the center over the course of years.

– Future Internet comprises of emerging ICT mega-trends (e.g., mobile, social, cloud, and big data) commands new challenges like ubiquitous accessibility, high bandwidth, and dynamic management to meet the data tsunami requirements. In the recent years, the rapid growth of smartphone business is highly evidenced due to its versatile usage irrespective of location, personality or context. Despite of increased smartphone usage, exploiting its full potential becomes very difficult owing to its typical issues such as resource scarcity, mobility and more prominently the security. Software Defined Networking (SDN), an emerging wireless network paradigm can make use of rich mobile cloud functionalities such as traffic management, load balancing, routing, and firewall configuration over physical abstraction of control planes from data planes. Hence SDN leads to a clear roadmap to Software Security control in Mobile Clouds (SDMC). Further it can be extended to a level of Security prevention. To address in this direction, this paper surveys the relevant backgrounds of the existing state-of-art works to come up with all possible SDMC threats and its countermeasures.
Dealing with a monolith extracted from one of the most famous Neolithic passage graves of the Carnacean area, this study approaches metho- dological issues concerning the recording of engravings, obvious or altered, and rocky supports in their intimate morphology that can contribute to the reading and interpretation of the signs. Di erent digital tools are tested, allowing a comparative exercise between all the results, particularly in terms of size, volumes and masses. Finally, the unexpected preservation of carbonized remains in crushed hollow of the broken edges led to a radiocarbon dating experiment that is included in an essay about the biography of an ancient stele.

An ELV is a vehicle that has reached the end of its service life or service due to age or because it is unable to be used due to a catastrophic accident and high repair costs. The current methods of destroying ELV vehicles are unregistered, disassembly, destruction, and disassembly. Each procedure must adhere to predetermined guidelines. The purpose of this study is to conduct a survey of dietary knowledge about end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) in Indonesia. As a result, the purpose of this research is to learn about ELV laws and their implementation in countries that have done so successfully, as well as to learn about public perception of ELV application in Indonesia. A literature search of ELV laws in neighboring countries was conducted, as well as a survey of 98 respondents in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi. SPSS was used to analyze the survey results. The questions in this study were divided into four sections: respondents' backgrounds; knowledge of ELV; concerns a...

Development of Indonesian national law should not leave attention to development of legal plurality as its source. Focus of this study is to see the influence of Indonesian social factors on the development of Islamic law and how Islamic law can be integratively transformed into the National Law. By qualitative method and socio-legal approach and constructivism paradigm, this study bases on theories of social change influeces on Islamic law law without leaving methodology of usul fiqh and the sources of Islamic law. Islamic law has broad opportunity and experiences to be integratively transformed into national law within Indonesia's own character. Transformation can be done in the whole structure of Islamic law including its values of philosophy, principles and norms, and can be performed in all areas, both private and public Law, written law by political power and unwritten law with cultural approach. However, Islamic law as one of the Indonesia living laws and the sources of N...

Current ramping to achieve reversed shear confinement enhancement and peaked density profiles are important for achieving ignition conditions in the high-field tokamak IGNITOR [Coppi et al., Phys. Scri. 45, 112 (1992)]. Previous transport simulations used either fixed density profiles or obtained flat density profiles leading to a conclusion that a mechanism for peaking the density profile is required for ignition. In this paper an enhanced particle confinement regime that produces ignition before the sawtooth activity begins is explored. It is shown that fast current ramping is a general scheme leading to density profile peaking. In these simulations, peaked density profiles result from the formation of internal transport barrier due to reversed magnetic shear, which is produced by controlled plasma current and volume-averaged density ramping. Such a programmed Ohmic heating scheme is demonstrated to be an effective approach to achieve ignition of a deuterium-tritium plasma.

There is agreement both in literature and policy documents that civil society organizations are key players in ANDT prevention (Alcohol, Drugs, Doping, Tobacco). However, more knowledge is needed concerning the uniqueness of the voluntary sector’s work. This article aims to highlight the values and barriers with NGOs working with ANDT-prevention. A survey has been conducted with project managers in NGOs. The results show that project managers describe many perceived values and barriers in relation to the public sector. Values and barriers are also largely related to the uniqueness of the NGOs. Other important factors are difficulties with interaction and the ability to work together to create a successful work, as well as barriers that arise because of short term financing.
