The investigation, by advanced physical methods, allows us to identify the chemical composition of volcano stones propelled from the deepness of the globe in various countries on the world and the blue icebergs detached from secular glaciers of Antarctic and Arctic poles. The stones and ashes of Island contain more elements than those of other volcanos, especially compared to those of Mediteranean countries. This confirms that the earthquake is much important and deeper under eastern Atlantic. Similarly, Sumatra volcano eruptions indicate pronounced tectonics under Western Pacific ocean. As a primary consequence, the planet temperature increases and induced the melting of thousands years glaciers at the North and South poles, rejecting in the oceans blue icebergs as big as Portugal or Vietnam. Nevertheless the sea level rising is not a great danger compared to its local sudden elevations, tsunamis, which cause tremendous damages. I have calculated the areas immerged by tsunamis, applied in particular for the deltas of North and South Vietnam, Indonesia; Malaysia and some European countries. The results will be presented in hope to prevent sudden damages and in long term, the effects on lands, environments and on the health of humanity.

The article deals with the concept of information warfare, so the comparative analysis of definitions of information warfare and information confrontation is done and the features and essence of these concepts are determined. Based on the analysis of 63 publications in Russian Internet media of different directions, it was concluded that the media in these media had a negative attitude to the events in Ukraine and the general themes of the materials, and their ideological orientation has not changed for today.

Gidley, B., 2015. Cohesion and belonging: review of the evidence. COMPAS. The last two decades have seen the demographic transformation of Europe, driven primarily by international migration. The current historical moment is defined by economic crisis, by a changing relationship between Europe and its neighbours, and the unprecedented scale of mobility within, into and now once again out of the continent. This transformation has manifested primarily in Europe’s cities. As the world becomes more connected and concentrated in the cities of the 21st century, populations, cultures, economies and values in any one metropolis become more diverse. The European city is marked by the “metropolitan paradox”: the most brutal forms of exclusion and conflict alongside the most profound forms of conviviality and co-existence. It is in cities where diversity is experienced most intensely, to which the majority of migrants move, and where mobilisations against diversity are symbolically rooted. And it is also at local level where the possibility for new forms of identification and belonging emerge. A challenge for the European future is consequently not only the classical moral imperative to generate the good city but also to generate a sense of metropolitan cohesion and to govern diversity justly. The challenge we are taking up here is this: How can Europe’s cities manage diversity dynamics for urban liveability and urban sustainability under the force of massive economic, social, cultural and political change? How can we learn to build inclusive cities and inclusive urban citizenship? More specifically, as cities become more diverse and more unequal, municipalities face the challenge of how to ensure that all citizens feel they have a stake in a common civic culture. Local authorities increasingly recognise their “place-making” role alongside their statutory service delivery functions. A city in which all residents feel they are valued increases residents’ wellbeing and satisfaction, and creates a climate in which municipal measures are more effective. This background paper sets out some of the key issues around building a common civic culture in Europe’s cities. The first section sets out the field which the paper addresses and discusses some of the key terms and concepts. The second section explores some of the evidence around the issues. The third section introduces the areas of intervention where cities can make a difference, illustrated by examples of promising or functioning practices.

A facility has been developed to simulate the ablation of micrometeoroids in laboratory conditions. An electrostatic dust accelerator is used to generate iron particles with velocities of 10-70 km/s. The particles are then introduced into a chamber pressurized with a target gas, where the pressure is adjustable between 0.01 and 0.5 Torr, and the particle partially or completely ablates over a short distance. An array of biased electrodes above and below the ablation path is used to collect the generated ions/electrons with a spatial resolution of 2.6 cm along the ablating particles' path, thus allowing the study of the spatiotemporal evolution of the process. For completely ablated particles, the total collected charge directly yields the ionization coefficient of a given dust material-target gas combination. The first results of this facility measured the ionization coefficient of iron atoms with N2, air, CO2, and He target gases for impact velocities >20 km/s, and are repor...

ObjectivesIn 1828, between 8,000 and 15,000 Indians from the Jesuit Missions were brought to Uruguay. There, they were settled in a village, presently named Bella Unión, in the northwest corner of the country. According to historic sources, the Indians abandoned the settlement shortly thereafter, with the village subsequently repopulated by “criollos” and immigrants from abroad. As a first approach to reconstruct the genetic history of the population, data about the living population genetic structure will be used. Based on the analysis of the maternal lineages of the inhabitants of Bella Unión, and of those from two nearby villages, we expect to partially answer what happened with the first and subsequent inhabitants.MethodsWe analyzed the maternal lineages of the present inhabitants of Bella Unión and neighboring localities through the sequencing of the mitochondrial DNA control region.ResultsA total of 64.3%, 5.7%, and 30% of the mtDNAs were of Native, African, and West Eurasian ...

Primary angle-closure glaucoma is a leading cause of irreversible blindness worldwide. In early-stage disease, intraocular pressure is raised without visual loss. Because the crystalline lens has a major mechanistic role, lens extraction might be a useful initial treatment. From Jan 8, 2009, to Dec 28, 2011, we enrolled patients from 30 hospital eye services in five countries. Randomisation was done by a web-based application. Patients were assigned to undergo clear-lens extraction or receive standard care with laser peripheral iridotomy and topical medical treatment. Eligible patients were aged 50 years or older, did not have cataracts, and had newly diagnosed primary angle closure with intraocular pressure 30 mm Hg or greater or primary angle-closure glaucoma. The co-primary endpoints were patient-reported health status, intraocular pressure, and incremental cost-effectiveness ratio per quality-adjusted life-year gained 36 months after treatment. Analysis was by intention to treat...

This research paper explores the potential of social media as a catalyst for enhancing patient outcomes and improving healthcare results. With the proliferation of social media platforms, there exists a unique opportunity to leverage these digital channels to disseminate healthcare information, empower patients, and facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers. Through a comprehensive literature review and analysis of case studies, this paper examines the various strategies for integrating social media into healthcare practices, including patient education, support communities, and remote monitoring. While acknowledging the benefits of social media in healthcare, such as increased patient engagement and improved health literacy, the paper also addresses the challenges and limitations associated with its use, such as privacy concerns and information credibility. Recommendations are provided for addressing these challenges and maximizing the benefits of social media in healthcare settings. By embracing the opportunities afforded by social media and addressing its associated challenges, healthcare practitioners and policymakers can work towards a future where patients are more informed, empowered, and engaged in their healthcare journey, ultimately leading to improved healthcare results for all.
