However, a paper about the sources and the work lines that the historianshave to study it has not done yet. This paper is an attempt to revise the sources of Catalan literature produced during the 13th and 15th Centuries trying to concrete the considerations about the fish and fishing in the Crown of Aragon in this period.

Rugby league's history in the Lockyer Valley of Queensland in Australia has been characterised by challenges and changes over time that are emblematic of wider trends in Australia as a whole during the first century of Federation. Little has been written about sport in rural Australia and less still is known about the Lockyer Valley, an area that has produced many great players. The main town of the Lockyer Valley is Gatton, which lies 100 kilometres west of Brisbane. The larger centres of Ipswich and Toowoomba lie 40 kilometres to the east and 30 kilometres to the west respectively.
The story of rugby league in the Valley is emblematic of the changes that have taken place in Australian sport over the past century as leagues grew within local communities during the first half of the century, only to fall victim to increased migration to the capital cities, depressed rural economic conditions, sport on television, and the perceived shrinking of distance through improved transportation infrastructure.

The archaeological survey, carried out by the Superintendence of Catania in 2007, has unearthed a Roman farm, characterized by multiple life stages (3rd-7th centuries AD), in the area of a previous Hellenistic settlement (4th-2nd centuries BC). A basilica with three aisles and a narthex was built, in late-Byzantine ages (8th-first half of 9th century AD), partially destroying the farm’s remains and those one of a later frequentation of the area (8th century AD). The basilica was modified several times, then transformed into an amorphous deposit of stones. The plan (21.90 m E/W x 16.60 m N/S) is framed in a 5x4 squares arithmetic form that includes the narthex and the apse, with a 2:1 ratio for the width of the nave from the aisles, and a metric base dimensioned according to a foot of m. 0.2964, with a base module of m. 4.15 corresponding to 14 ft. This plant is similar to Sicilian religious buildings traditionally dated between 5th and 6th century AD. and thus proves to be anchored to the building tradition of Late Antiquity. The centrality of the settlement (not far from the Roman aqueduct that crossed this area and beside a long-distance road network in use from Roman to Late Middle ages) explains the continuity of life of a settlement which was clearly the junction of this area.

Public debt soared in the late-medieval Low Countries: towns borrowed considerable sums from creditors and often ended up defaulting on their financial obligations. The author uses a tax inquiry from 1514 to demonstrate that villages also managed to create funded debt, which they secured on the public body
of the village. As a result, around 1500 the majority of the villages in Holland owed annuities to local and foreign creditors. This public debt was particularly contracted to be able to pay taxes to the sovereign, but it also allowed villages
to invest in water management and mills and to protect themselves against encroachments by noblemen and towns. Thus they could use their access to capital markets to defend the interests of the public body and its members. Furthermore,
the possibilities villages had to borrow and the conditions against
which these loans were contracted, tell us a lot about the level of sophistication of capital markets in late-medieval Holland.

Such parallels point to a persistent representation, on the part of the Brazilian elite, of rural areas as backward and "ill." In order to provide a context for this discussion, I sketch the Western discourse on the body and illness and recapitulate influential Brazilian arguments concerning the backwardness of the countryside.
