The paper deals with the reconstruction of the history of a Chrysostomian text corpus, constituted in 10th century Bulgaria and commissioned by king Symeon, that was named (alledgedly by the ruler) Zlatostruy, i.e. Chrysorrhoas. The way it was compiled, the idea behind it and its impact fully justify the use of term project about it.
The corpus consisted of more than 150 homilies translated from Greek. Only excerpts from it have survived in other collections, which means that a text critical analysis should be undertaken in order to reconstruct its initial contents and the archetype of each text.

The paper preliminarily reviews the manuscript tradition of Hebraism mašl’akh occurred in the Palaea Interpretata. It was undoubtedly borrowed from the Hebrew משיח ‘Messiah’ directly, i.e. without Greek mediation. The spelling mašl’akh indicates that this word was used in Slavonic as spoken form for a long time: Hebrew mašíax > Slavonic mašǐjaxъ > mašjax > mašl’ax. Considering the chronology of the loss of reduced vowels, the form mašjax could appear in Old Bulgarian in the 11th c., and in Old Russian in the 12th c.
Unfortunately, the corresponding forms mašika and mašiaak in the Old Russian Florilegium (Izbornik) of the 13th c. (National Library of Russia in St. Petersburg, Q.п.I.18) are not noted in the paper.

The former cites it at nearly every point of variance, yet not always correctly, whereas the latter omits it entirely. Although the Old Slavonic testimony is relatively late and has not been adequately researched, it can provide valuable textual insight, especially in instances where manuscript support is negligible and/or in which the Old Slavonic reading also occurs in other versions.

Poem IV of Michael the Grammarian edited by Mercati may be dated to ca. 1030
because of a reference to Philip of Amorion. Since the poem contains clear references
to the different pronunciation of the letter iota and hypsilon one may deduce that at
that time they effectively represented two different sounds. This is also confirmed by
the near contemporary evidence of Church Slavonic. If hypsilon represented a sound
similar to a French u or a German ü there are important consequences for the study of
Anatolian dialects as well as codicology.

The Slavonic version of St. John Chrysostom’s homily De sancto hieromartyre Phoca (BHG 1537, CPG 4364) emerged in the beginning of the 10th c. in Bulgaria and came to us in the longer redaction of the Zlatostruy (Chrysorrhoas) collection. The present study is devoted to a comparison of the witnesses, building a stemma codicum and identifying the characteristics of the Slavonic archetype. Attached, an edition of the Slavonic version (according to seven copies) and parallel Greek text is being included.
Славянская версия слова Иоанна Златоуста De sancto hieromartyre Phoca (BHG 1537, CPG 4364) возникла в нач. Х в. и дошла до нас в составе полной редакции сборника Златоструй. Настоящее исследование включает в себя текстологическое сопоставление свидетелях, создание stemma codicum и выявление характеристик славянского архетипа. Анализ сопровождается публикацией славянской версии по семи копий с параллельным греческим текстом.

The Slavonic MS Voskr. 115-bum. from the State Historical Museum in Moscow, was written in Hilandar Monastery on Mount Athos by the famous copyist Damian, who worked there in 1340-1380.
The manuscript contains 27 Chrysostomian and Pseudo-Chrysostomian homilies (1r-129v), and a miscellany (130r-247v), which consists of unedited and unstudied copies of works, emerged in East Bulgaria in the 9-10 c.
The paper aims at a detailed description of the entries from the Chrysostomian collection in Voskr. 115-bum., which hasn't been a subject of an exhaustive analysis so far. At the same time, an juxtaposition with the entries, found in the Zlatostruy or Chrysorrhoas collection (compiled in Bulgaria under the supervision of King Symeon, 893-927), is made too.
The comparative text critical analysis has shown that nеither the long redaction of Chrysorrhoas, nor the short one (the most reliable witnesses of the initial tenth-century collection, which is now lost) are direct sources of Voskr. 115-bum.
In all likehood the protograph of our manuscript was an independent selection from the initial Symeonic Corpus Chrysostomicum. For this reason Voskr. 115-bum. is a very important source for studying the transmission of each homily, for building critical edititions and, which is most important, for reconstructing the history of the lost Old Bulgarian protocollection of Chrysostomian works.
