Les versions roumaines de la prière Notre Père du XVIe siècle ont une origine slavonne indiscutable, les termes... more Les versions roumaines de la prière Notre Père du XVIe siècle ont une origine slavonne indiscutable, les termes săţioasă „sufficiens” et năpastă „tentatio” étant une preuve dans ce sens. Malgré tout, il y a quelques situations qui ne peuvent pas être expliquées par l’intermédiaire du slavon: greşit „debitor”, rău „malus”. Celles-ci confirment l’existence d’une version traduite sous une influence tchèque ou polonaise. La présence de ces éléments prouve que la plus ancienne version attestée dans l’espace roumain est celle de Mathieu, celle-ci étant plus ancienne que les premiers textes gardés en roumain. L’impossibilité d’identifier des originaux qui puissent expliquer d’une manière satisfaisante les versions roumaines confirme l’idée que la prière Notre Père a circulé oralement dans le XVIe siècle dans l’espace roumain.

Les plus anciennes versions roumaines de la prière « Notre Père » gardent la forme de
singulier ciel, à la place du pluriel demandé par la tradition biblique grecque, latine et
viex slave. Egalement présent dans d‟autres espaces culturels, ce fait linguistique
s‟explique soit par l‟influence de l‟originel hébreu, soit par la circulation orale de la
prière, en anticipant le singulier du vers suivant. En roumain, où on ne peut pas parler
d‟une traduction selon l‟originel hébreu aux débuts de l‟écrit roumain, la présence de la
forme du singulier ciel dans l‟oraison dominicale prouve la circulation orale de la prière
dans le XVIe siècle. Ce fait démontre également que la prière Notre père est plus ancienne
que le premier texte roumain découvert.

The paper contains the constraint-based analysis of the surface system of Biblical Aramaic, as reflected in the Book of Daniel. I have tried to show that pragmatic factors play a key role not only in the selection of ‘marked’ word order patterns in this corpus, but also in determining the word order of the most ‘basic’ cases. The pragmatic alignment constraints, which deal
with the position in the sentence of such elements as topic and focus, appear to be among the most highly ranked.

This article investigates the semantics of the protasis of the manumission law of the Covenant Code (Exodus 21:2a). Despite the proposal by John Van Seters that the slave there purchased must “already” have been a slave, such a restriction of meaning goes beyond the evidence. Critical for understanding the semantic issue is the overlooked distinction between two types of verbal object: “affected” and “effected” objects. Moreover, verbs of creation and appointment are frequently ditransitive. Such verbs may also leave the affected object implicit while specifying only the effected object. This construction emphasizes the change in status undergone by the grammatical patient, as in the case of the manumission law. Attention to the contractual language of biblical law permits, in turn, a more adequate concept of the grammatical concept of effected object.
