The site was probably a central place in the production and long-distance exchange of surplus. The accumulations found of raw materials (flint, granite and metamorhic stones) and agricultural, stockbreeding and industrial products were exchanged by other foreign products (variscite, cinnabar, ivory and gold). Ritual data are also remarcable: a significant number of individual and collective burials have been recorded in pits, small artificial caves and hypogea, delimited in special areas. The richer burials had Ciempozuelos-style Bell Beaker elements and prestige items, such as gold and ivory beads. Osteomorphological and size features of some Bell Beaker individuals point out a remarkable physical aspect during their life time. Th faunal deposits, which included mixed species associations, evidence a complex symbolic relationship with animals. The site is essential for the knowledge of the Chalcolithic period and the impact of Bell Beaker customs and funerary rituals in the consolidation of social inequalities amidst the first metallurgical societies of the interior of the Iberian Peninsula.

The excavations carried out in the site of Camino de las Yeseras has provided a series of new aspects of the Chalcolithic period of Madrid. One of the most interesting aspect has been the fact that it has been possible to perform a study of the funeral rituals with a great variety of individual and collective burials in enclosures or delimited areas. Among the last ones, hipogeus and small caves were especially assigned to groups
containing Bell Beaker pottery. The osteomorphologic and size characteristics of some Bell Beaker individuals point them out as having a conspicuous physical aspect during their life time and the funerary gifts consist fundamentally of ceramic sets of Ciempozuelos style in an unusual association accompanied by prestigious elements such as golden beads.

Wooden doors on Mycenaean chamber tombs.
Following a burial in a Mycenaean chamber tomb, the stomion was sealed as a rule by means of a dry stone wall and more rarely by a stone door. Generations of archaeologists have grown up with this assertion so that when excavating a chamber tomb we are certain in advance what awaits us at the doorway. Every time the dry stone wall or stone door is esposed, the conviction finds further substantiation. But can we be sure of this, or is there perhaps something we are overlooking? In the following article a new proposal is put forward: when an excavation reaches the dry stone wall or the stomion of a tomb, we must ask ourselves whether originally a wooden door stood in front of it. Characteristic examples of the existence of wooden doors in Mycenaean tombs are considered and, among other things, the various support mechanisms of wooden doors are discussed. The presence of wooden doors is linked on the one hand to Mycenaean eschatological concepts and on the other to the good state of preservation of the dry stone walls.

ABSTRACT
The present work studies the relationship between the vegetable kingdom and the Minorcan Late Bronze Age societies through the phenomenological archaeology approaches. For this purpose we analyze the archaebotanical record, with a special attention to charcoal analysis, carpology and palynology.
In this way, we focus on the study of the funerary record presenting and interpreting different minorcan sites (S’Alblegall rock-cut, Es Càrritx , Es Mussol and Es Pas caves), where different social practices associated to the use of plants have been documented: the use of aromatic plants in fires or the presence of floral offerings among others.

Abstract:
This paper makes a review of a set of metal artefacts (from gold, silver, copper and bronze) and other items related to the metallurgical process from prehistoric sites of Berguedà and Solsonès regions, Catalonia (IVth and IIon millennia cal BC). These sites, widely known, are Balma dels Ossos (Berga), Cova of Sant Bartomeu (Olius), Cova d'Aigües Vives (Olius) and Forat de la Tuta (Riner). The objects are studied from a chronological, technological, typological and contextual point of view. Comparison with contemporary metallurgical evidence, of the Iberian Peninsula and the rest of Europe, point towards the existence of certain contacts and relationships of various kinds with different areas of the continent (south east Spain, south France, Switzerland, north Italy, Central Europe). The data indicate that during the late prehistory these territories constituted one of the main "metallurgical crossroads" who joined the Northeastern Iberian Peninsula with neighbouring regions.
