In a recent review of my book on H-France, Barbara Diefendorf raised a concern that I am happy to be able to address. She writes: "Tulchin cites a 'draft memorandum listing possible provision'” for a platform Protestants wanted local communities to include in their cahiers de doléances and says that the Nîmes cahier is “particularly similar” to this draft (p. 102), but he does not say what these similarities are. This makes it hard to gauge the extent to which the Nîmes cahier represented a concerted Protestant platform." A second reviewer (in the Journal of Ecclestiastical History) has an almost identical complaint. I give some information about this in the footnotes, and it was the subject of an article by Noel Valois, also cited in the notes, but in this electronic age it struck me that it is easy to provide the additional information for those readers who might be interested. I have therefore uploaded the complete text of the relevant documents here. Perhaps if the book goes into paperback Oxford will let me add this as an additional appendix. The full text of the Nimes cahier, incidentally, was printed in Menard, HIstoire de Nimes, vol. 4 (1752), Preuves p. 167, and has been digitized by Google Books: http://books.google.com/books?id=hMBDAAAAYAAJ&pg=PP7#v=onepage&q&f=false
