For this purpose I analyze a data set taken from the Court Translators and Interpreters Service Books in Málaga (01/01/1993 to 31/12/1999) and the author’s electronic records of sword translations (17/08/1994 to 31/12/1999). Some conclusions have been reached and historically contextualized as well as some issues that have undergone several changes in the first years of the new millennium are underlined.

The purpose is to provide an analytic framework to the study of this type of literature. With its ten categories, the map allows for the inclusion of new or previously overlooked anthologies. The map is introduced by a survey of the state of scholarship on the terms adab and anthology within the scope of classical Arabic literature, and highlights a number of the main approaches to the study of Arabic literary anthology in recent scholarship. The article also suggests some authorial motives behind the genesis, development, and popularity of this type of literature.

Based primarily on political analysis, such initiatives do not address the underlying causes of the civil war at the individual, family, and tribal levels. This paper examines the psychological and sociological motivations for the violence within and between the Arab and African tribes of Darfur, to include motivation exploration of ethnic defections, failing cultural identity markers, and the effects of cognitive dissonance of the personal and social identities of the Darfur tribes. Research suggests that the identities of the African and Arab tribes are deeply contested over ethnicity, tribalism, religion, race and the generational memory that historical narratives provide. This fundamental identity conflict is overlaid by decades of violent physical, psychological and emotional assault upon the population. The result is a fundamental change of the psycho-sociology of tribal life and threatens disintegration and disestablishment of large group identity. The resulting societal and leadership breakdown of and within the tribes creates conditions of warlord-ism commonly found in ungoverned states such as Somalia. The paper concludes that the international community will ultimately fail unless measures are taken to create conditions for survival of the tribes physically, psychologically and sociologically.

Abstract
This paper studies contrast among emphatic sounds in Classical Arabic. In Modern linguistics these emphatic sounds contrast with their non-emphatic counterparts. Classical Arabic scholars indicate contrast among the emphatic group. This paper examines two emphatic sounds, namely /D/ and /Z/. The aim of this paper is to prove that these two sounds contrast, distinguish meaning and affect neighbouring segments. This paper also discusses a possible near-allophonic case for these emphatic sounds. The phonological environment of these two sounds is investigated in terms of distinctive features with the attempt of providing natural classes of sounds. This paper studies contrast under Classical Generative Phonology and Distinctive Features Theory (Chomsky and Halle 1968). This paper shows that the two emphatic sounds /D/ and /Z/ are two separate phonemes and that respectively all natural classes of sounds occur in their environment, except for the natural class of approximants. Yet sounds that have the features [+high, -back] and [-high, +back] are more susceptible to emphasis spread. This paper finally retains that two consonants and two vowels emphasized when they occur in the environment of the emphatic sounds and that the emphatic spread is blocked leftward whenever the segment is [+high, -back]. These two emphatic sounds also appear in Near-complementary Distribution.

What is more, we will consider two types of language tests which separately examine the grammar and vocabulary of English as a foreign language. Subsequently, to illuminate the discussion, we will illustrate the factors of administrating tests of grammar and vocabulary, and the common types of testing the awareness of the grammatical features of the language. After that, attention will be given to the traditional types of vocabulary tests and how we can test the students various kinds of lexical knowledge i.e. phrasal verbs, collocations, and synonyms and antonyms. After that, it will look at the constructors’ use of distracters while administrating a test. Last but not least, a discussion about the major factors of measuring an individual’s ability will be illustrated by referring to two test requirements: the reliability and validity of a test. As a final point, a critical conclusion with a recapitulation of the subject matter will be conferred.

It is possible that some tests work for some categories but not for others, as sometimes, different tests may lead to conflicting results. In order to make this paper more relevant, some data must be collected, then observed, tested, and formulated. The following is based on this data which must be analysed. As far as the researcher is concerned, this methodical approach to the acquisition of knowledge is based on evidence rather than belief. Therefore, the study will face a lot of hypotheses because the English language is distinguished from other languages in terms of fixed rules. It is difficult to decide whether this rule is acceptable or not syntactically, whether this sentence is grammatical or ungrammatical and the relation between Syntax and Semantics

The researcher in this study will define the notion of ‘reading’ as the starting point. This will then be followed by an overview on the importance of reading by referring to the Holy Quran and how it deals with reading. After that, reading in a second language (L2) will be discussed with further illustrations by some specialist authors. The next point will discuss the prominent types of reading. The researcher will go on to mention the linguistic difficulties while reading in L2. Finally, a critical conclusion will be given with some of the researcher’s opinion and experience.
Learning a foreign language with any level of competence is a lengthy and conscious effort. Every language is composed of complex systems, which operate within a social, cultural and linguistic framework. Any speech event includes not only linguistic elements but also codes of gesture, facial expression and other paralinguistic cues which are commonly called body language. All these factors may not be available to the learner, plus the fact that he/she is subjected to a new system with a native language pattern (with its linguistic and extra linguistic factors) pre-imposed on his/her memory. If the basic areas of contrast between the systems of two languages are not made explicit to the learner, he/she will not be able to use the foreign language effectively or in accordance with the special characteristic codes of speech.

The project is founded by the European Integration Fund (EIF) as part of the general programme “Solidarity and Management of Migration Flows”.
The main aim of the research is twofold. On the one hand to analyse the attitudes of majority population towards migrant living in Hungary, and on the other to explore the situation of third country migrants, especially in the labour market. The project consists of two research modules: (1) in the quantitative part the attitudes of the majority population is assessed by a representative survey, and in the (2) qualitative part interviews are being conducted by third country migrants as well as key informants in the field of labour market and social affairs.
