תקציר

ידע התנ"ך וכן ידע השפה הם בין הנושאים החשובים ביותר אותם אמורה מערכת החינוך הישראלית להקנות לבוגריה. נשאלת השאלה מדוע המשאבים הרבים המופנים להוראת מקצועות אלה אינם תורמים בפועל לידיעת תנ"ך ואף לא לידיעת הלשון העברית.

המאמר מצביע על כך כי קיים קשר הדוק בין הכשלים בהוראת שני המקצועות. שורש הבעיה טמון בחוסר ההבחנה בין שפת התנ"ך לבין השפה המדוברת כיום בישראל :הישראלית. שפה זו היא הכלאה בין העברית, היידיש ושפות נוספות, היא בעלת דקדוק משל עצמה, והיא היא שפת אמם של רוב ילידי ישראל מזה כמאה שנים.

המאמר עומד על כך כי יש הבדל מהותי בין אופן הרכישה של שפת האם ודרך השימוש בה, לבין המנגנונים הפועלים בעת השימוש בשפות הנרכשות באופן אחר. לפיכך, היות והתנ"ך כתוב בְּשפה שאינה שפת אימם של דוברי הישראלית, הוראתו חייבת להעשות בשיטות המשמשות בתחום הוראתן של שפות זרות. במקביל לכך יש לכבד את השפה הישראלית הנוהגת כיום ולחדול מלייסר את הציבור הדובר אותה על כי לשונו אינה כפופה לחוקי העברית הקדומה.

החברה הישראלית עתירת פולמוסים הנוגעים לדת ולתרבות, ומסתמכים במידת מה על מקורות היהדות. הבנת לשון המקורות הקדומים והכרות מעמיקה עם רעיונותיהם אשר תושג אך ורק על ידי נקיטת אמצעים פדגוגיים הולמים, תשכלל את השיח הציבורי ותשפר את יכולת הכלל להפיק תועלת של ממש מאותם ויכוחים.

"גילוי דעת" – תעודת זהות"גילוי דעת" הוא כתב עת מדעי שפיט, שעומד לצאת לאור על ידי מכללת סמינר הקיבוצים והוצאת הקיבוץ המאוחד, וששם לו למטרה להעשיר ולהעמיק את הדיון בסוגיות חינוכיות, חברתיות ותרבותיות המעסיקות את החברה הישראלית והעולמית עם תחילת העשור השני של המאה ה-21.

מתוך עמדה המאמינה בחשיבותה של ראייה אינטלקטואלית רחבה ומקפת ובנחיצות קיומה של קשת מגוונת של נקודות מבט ותחומי מחקר ושיח, כתב העת יפרסם מאמרים שישקפו מנעד רחב של פרספקטיבות דיסציפלינאריות, שיטות חקירה והשקפות ערכיות. בהתאם לכך, מערכת "גילוי דעת" כוללת, לצד חוקרים בתחומי החינוך, מלומדים בעלי שם מתחומי דעת שונים במדעי החברה והרוח.

המכנה המשותף של המאמרים שיתפרסמו יהיה מקוריותם, יכולתם להתמודד עם סוגיות מרכזיות בשיח החינוכי והציבורי, ותרומתם למבט רחב ומשמעותי על הנושא שבו יעסקו. נעודד באופן מיוחד את הופעתם של מאמרים ביקורתיים ובעלי תכנים פולמוסיים, מתוך אמונה בחשיבותה של נועזות אינטלקטואלית ומתוך רצון להפוך את "גילוי דעת" לאתר מרכזי לחידוד ולליבון שאלות יסוד ישראליות וגלובליות.

נימנע מלפרסם ב"גילוי דעת" מאמרים המטפלים בנושאים ספציפיים ומצומצמים באופן כזה שאינם מאירים סוגיות והיבטים רחבים ושאינם בעלי השתמעויות החורגות מהמקרה הקונקרטי שהם עוסקים בו. כתוצאה מכך, לא יתקבלו לפרסום מאמרים שעוסקים בסוגיות תוך-דיסציפלינאריות צרות, שאין להן נגיעה משמעותית לסוגיות חינוכיות, חברתיות או תרבותיות.

This article, however, contends that there are no discernible diagnostic features in the ostracon that mandate such a conclusion. Furthermore, the article also emphasizes that the script of this inscription is certainly not Old Hebrew, nor is it the immediate precursor of the Old Hebrew script. Rather the Old Hebrew script derived from Phoenician. Thus, there is some distance between the script of this inscription and the Old Hebrew script. Finally, the article contends that it would be difficult (because of the dearth of data) for grand proposals about statecraft and literacy to be made on the sole basis of this ostracon.

mintmarks by looking at the coins with the mint of Raidan written out in full form (cf. SNG ANS
