The project intends to study possibilities of several formal approaches towards modeling intelligent environments based on principles of ambient intelligence. The main goal is in contributing towards theoretical foundations of ambient intelligence via modelling of intelligent environments functionality using three basic approaches: multi-agent systems of various kind, algebraic methods, and grammar systems and colonies.

The system based on the described idea provides a mechanism for creating and maintaining e-course content according to learners’ profiles and also according to various constraints defined by responsible lecturer. This paper explains some further development of the idea in the context of recently popular ambient intelligence approach.
