Victoria University of Wellington invites applications for the position of Professor of Linguistics. Preference will be given to applicants with research and teaching specialisation in sociolinguistics, but applicants whose specialisation lies elsewhere in Linguistics may be considered.
The appointee will be an outstanding scholar, a dedicated teacher able to give academic leadership, and a capable administrator. The appointee will be responsible for the development of innovative teaching and research programmes, as well as representing the discipline to the University and the wider community, including the international community.
