The CoA@TTU is a single department college, matriculating 850 students through B.Sc.Architecture, M.Architecture, M.Sc.Architecture and a Ph.D. degree in Land-Use Planning, Management and Design. We are the only school of architecture in the North American High Plains and we are committed to Texas Tech University's goal of becoming a National Research institution. We are committed to both the local issues of our geography and the global reach of engaged academic work. We are home to the very successful field-based program, Land Arts of the American West and through our M.S. in Architecture, we offer specializations in Historic Preservation, Digital Design and Fabrication, Health Care Facilities Design and Urban Design. We also offer these specializations to our M.Architecture students as Certificates. Our thriving study abroad studio focuses on design in the urban context and, each summer, our participating faculty leads 100 of our fourth year students through intensive studio projects in Montreal, Seville, Paris and Verona. Currently, we have plans to expand this studio to other major cities abroad. We have an innovative wiki-based college website, on which 900 people -- students, faculty, alumni and staff -- can post group events, submit curriculum questions, post job openings or competition opportunities and upload images to be displayed on the website.
