Assistant Professor -- Polymer Engineering
The Department of Polymer Engineering at the University of Akron is seeking applications for a tenure-track assistant professor.
Applicants in any area of polymer engineering or polymer phyics will be considered, but candidates with research programs in energy research, optoelectronics, process modeling and environmental sustainability are especially of interest.
Applicants must have Ph.D.s in engineering, materials science, chemistry, physics or associated fields and potential for, or proven records of, obtaining external funding for research.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in polymer engineering.
Postdoctoral experience is preferred.
The Department of Polymer Engineering is part of the College of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering (CPSPE) at the University of Akron (UA). UA is located in northeast Ohio and has a main campus of 28,000 students. The CPSPE consists of two academic departments (Polymer Engineering and Polymer Science) and includes about 40 faculty and 250 graduate students and postdocs.
