The School of Mechanical Engineering The School of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Adelaide currently has two vacancies for Lecturer/Senior Lecturer positions. The applicants for each position will have a proven research track record in areas related to School strengths including thermo-fluids, robotics and automation, materials and structures, and acoustics and vibration. The successful applicants will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research. It is expected that research will be undertaken in an area of relevance to the School’s activities and include collaborative research with industry.
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Mechatronics (Ref: 15979) We are seeking to appoint a dynamic mechanical, mechatronic or electrical engineer with a PhD relevant to the mechatronic engineering discipline. Teaching will be required in control, robotics and subjects of relevance to mechatronic engineering. Salary: (Level B) $77,688 – $92,256 per annum, (Level C) $95,163 – $109,735 per annum, plus an employer superannuation contribution of 17% applies.
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Energy Engineering (Ref: 17075) We are seeking to appoint a dynamic mechanical, sustainable energy, mechatronic, aeronautical, aerospace or other relevant engineer with a PhD relevant to sustainable energy engineering. Teaching will be required in sustainability, renewable thermal power, and combustion and subjects of relevance to sustainable energy. Salary: (Level B) $77,688 – $92,256 per annum, (Level C) $95,163 – $109,735 per annum, plus an employer superannuation contribution of 17% applies.
Both positions are tenurable and available from February 1, 2012. Closing date: 23 December 2011
