This paper deals with the brownfields in the city that can have a serious impact on the direction of strategic planning for future urban development. The comparative analysis of case studies was conducted to compare industrial cities in the developed western countries (Gothenburg) to the cities in transition countries (Niš). Brownfields are discussed as specific spaces that represent, on the one hand, an exceptional spatial resource capital, and, problematic areas, "black spots" of the city, on the other, with all the burdens that brownfields can have. Considering the prevalence and distribution, strategic planning, as an instrument for the formation of the vision of development, must inevitably examine and define the role of brownfields. The aim of this paper is to present the possibilities and possible models for brownfield renewal through the prism of strategic planning in the context of creating a sustainable vision of the cities where brownfields could play a key role in regulating and correcting the existing urban pattern.

ABSTRACT Facing uncertainty, continuing health professions education practitioners should sharpen their strategy planning skills. Resources exist that review the change process and provide insight into visioning and strategy development. A review of selected literature can inform our way of framing our strategy development processes.

Strategic planning which is process chart involves analyzing the opportunities and threats in the market place, while building the strengths and correcting the weaknesses within the firm, also involves setting goals for specific product marker and for the firm (Bernett and Wilsted (1988) and since it is perceived as a mediating force between the organisation and its environment it has become highly imperative for business organisation to adopt it so as to enhance productivity.

University campuses can be considered as experimental areas open to more innovations than urban areas. The increase of universities around the world has led to the evaluation of universities in different fields, from the design of campus to the effects of urban and regional development, as well as the quality of education. It is seen that establishing new universities is a part of the strategy for resolving regional disparities in Turkey. Leading the competition among universities to the areas other than the quality of education is sometimes a subject of criticism. Nevertheless, it is possible to create positive competitive effects of areas such as waste management, environmental awareness, and the use of renewable energy by involving university students in the process. Attempts to obtain green certificate for universities' campuses affect research in the field of renewable energy use and making energy efficiency for buildings. Sustainability is often a discourse, and green certifications have weaknesses in areas such as environmental impact and site selection. Accordingly, more innovative approaches are needed in cities and university campuses in order to develop environmental values. The solutions for renewable energy use in campuses have many effects to such cases as climate conditions, harmony with the environment, campus location and visual quality. The purpose of this study is to analyze the approaches for renewable energy in the university campus planning process in Turkey. With this approach, information retrieval on renewable energy projects in universities in Turkey has been performed. A case study was conducted on the solar panel project of Karabük University with details. It is very important that university students adopt and contribute to these projects. The use of renewable energy in university campus areas will have been increased the importance in the future of smart city planning approaches.

The renowned management consultant, Peter Drucker, is known for (allegedly) saying that 'culture eats strategy for breakfast'. The thrust of his argument was that a firm's corporate culture will have the greatest influence on whether a strategy is successful or not. This paper extends Ducker's line of thinking to consider the lasting effects of a corporate crisis and subsequent adaptive changes in firm culture and performance. This idea is illustrated using UK bank Barclays Plc (Barclays) and examines how its focus on transformative cultural change has resulted in significant adjustments in their attitude to risk and innovation. A corporate crisis shines a light on a flawed culture "If you aint cheating, you aint trying" commented a Barclays Vice-President in 2010. Two years later, on June 27 th 2012, Barclays was handed the largest fine in UK banking history for their fraudulent and anticompetitive behavior. Barclays were found guilty of manipulating UK (LIBOR) and European (EURIBOR) benchmark interest rates which were used to calculate trillions of dollars worth of financial contracts and derivatives between 2005-09. The fraud boosted their profits and gave the impression to stakeholders and the media that the firm had ridden out the severe effects of the Global Financial Crisis. The outcomes of its behavior resulted in the firm being fined £284.4m as part of a £3.9bn settlement with UK and US regulators who found that they had conspired with the Royal Bank of Scotland, JP Morgan, UBS, Citigroup and Bank of America. Barclay's CEO, Bob Diamond, resigned following the scandal and a downward spiral in corporate financial performance. Indeed, the ramifications of this case continued into 2016, with the firm being fined a further $100m to settle with 44 US states where government and not-for profit agencies had suffered financial losses as a result of the fraud. This type of corporate behavior gives rise to many questions, but most importantly about the culture that existed at Barclays at the time. In the aftermath of the Global Financial Crisis of 2007-09, a KPMG report (2009) found that many financial firms' corporate culture was dominated by excessive risk taking, stimulated by short term incentive and remuneration policies. As such, Barclays were not an exceptional case when it came to the issue of corporate greed and deception.

يوما بعد يوم يزداد أثر مؤسسات المجتمع المدني بشتى أشكالها وتخصصاتها حيث تعمل المؤسسات غير الربحية بكامل طاقاتها وبكافة تخصصاتها الإغاثية والحقوقية والقانونية والاجتماعية والصحية والتعليمية لتساعد في دعم الملايين من المحتاجين من رجال ونساء وأطفال في مختلف بقاع الأمة الإسلامية والعربية على حد سواء. وتكاد هذه المؤسسات المحلية منها والدولية أن تكون المنفذ الوحيد للتواصل مع المحتاجين والمتضررين. ويأتي هذا الكتاب ليطرح من منظور جديد آليات وطرائق وأفكار متخصصة في إدارة المؤسسات غير الربحية وللتأصيل لهذا النوع من الإدارة من خلال طرح وسائل ومبادئ إدارية جديدة، أو تكييف مجموعة من المبادئ الإدارية المستخدمة في المؤسسات الربحية لجعلها صالحة للتطبيق في بيئات مؤسسات المجتمع المدني. إضافة إلى تطوير وتكييف مجموعة من المصطلحات الإدارية الخاصة بمثل هذا النوع من المؤسسات لتكون نواة قاموس للمصطلحات الخاصة بإدارة المؤسسات غير الربحية. ولعل من القضايا التي يتعرض لها الكتاب بكل وضوح وجرأة قضية تداخل الدبلوماسية الشعبية (Public Diplomacy) مع أعمال المؤسسات غير الربحية والتقاطعات معها وبالتالي الانتباه للتعامل المتوازن الراشد مع تداخلات الديبلوماسية التي لا مفر منها في كثير من المواقف. ويعتبر الكتاب الطبعة الثانية للكتاب الأول الذي كان بعنوان "منظور جديد في إدارة المؤسسات غير الربحية وتداخلها مع الديبلوماسية الشعبية" مع بعض الإضافات والتعديلات.

The research question is 'How can firms approach synchronization in strategic planning?', aiming to investigate opportunities for improved synchronization within strategic planning. The focus is on roadmapping, as a relatively simple, flexible and widely used method that includes time as an explicit dimension. The adopted methodology is a process approach, consisting of literature review, exploratory interviews, practitioner interviews, and case studies with large multinational firms based in the UK that are familiar with roadmapping. As a result, four types of synchronization have been identified and discussed, including generic forms of each type, illustrated with industrial examples from the case studies.

Helping towards Build to Last by Analyzing Operational Efficiency and Throughput based performance.

ABSTRACT Transit agencies are consistently trying to improve service reliability and attract new passengers by employing various strategies. Previous literature reviews have focused on either passengers’ or transit agencies’ perspectives on service reliability. However, none of the earlier reviews have simultaneously addressed these differing perspectives on service reliability in an integrated manner. In response to this gap in the literature, this paper first reviews previous work on passengers’ perspectives of transit service reliability and their response to service adjustments made by different agencies. Second, it analyzes transit agencies’ plans and reports regarding their reliability goals and used strategies in order to improve service reliability, while looking at the impacts of these strategies on service. Reviewing these two parts together provides a needed contribution to the literature from a practical viewpoint since it allows for the identification of gaps in the public transit planning and operations field in the area of reliability and provides transit planners and decision makers with effective and valuable policy-relevant information.

De acuerdo a Brown (2015), los principios de la política son relocalizados semánticamente en términos económicos dentro de la transposición de significados y prácticas que atraviesa a las democracias contemporáneas a partir del neoliberalismo. Durante el gobierno de Nir Barkat (2009-2018) tuvo lugar el despliegue de un programa de gobierno que correspondió a la incorporación de una racionalidad política neoliberal. El ejercicio de la gubernamentalidad (Foucault, 2007 y 2006; Gordon, 1991) en el período se apoyó en la participación de individuos que contribuyeron a la circulación de ideas sobre renovación urbana cuyo marco es el del planeamiento estratégico, elaborado por Michael Porter. A partir del análisis de contenido, exploraré enunciados de fuentes secundarias para indagar en el vínculo entre Barkat y Porter, y la adopción del planeamiento estratégico como tematización de problemáticas de gobierno tales como la proporción demográfica entre judíos y palestinos, de acuerdo a la perspectiva de volver sostenible la soberanía israelí y mantener "unificada" a Jerusalén. La racionalidad política de Barkat expresa que esto es asequible, no en los términos liberales de un régimen democrático, sino en los del neoliberalismo, que opera progresivamente en su vaciamiento de contenido y permuta por uno predominantemente económico.

This paper considers Relationship Marketing as a business strategic tool and seeks to verify the existence of Benefit Clubs and their structure offered by the major insurance companies in Brazil, analyzing the presence and formatting of the programs. Through the content analysis methodology, we seek to infer its uses for the strengthening of the positioning of these companies. At the end of the paper we compare the best practices identified. The result of the analysis considers the differential obtained by the employment of programs that seek to create brand value and loyalty.
