En este artículo se presentan resultados acerca de cómo se relaciona, en nuestra Cátedra de Semiótica de las Mediatizaciones, la práctica de enseñanza con la de la investigación dentro del trabajo dentro de la Universidad, en especial frente a las transformaciones mediáticas que se incorporan como objetos de estudio en el transcurso de un curso. Se ha propuesto en un escrito anterior considerar a la práctica áulica universitaria más como mediatización que como mediación. Ese enfoque obliga a la discusión de los modos de incorporación de las transformaciones al trabajo cotidiano, en el mismo movimiento en que se discute el modo de investigación. Se trata de un enfoque que, si bien se pretende como innovador, no se constituye como fundador, es decir que se deben articular procedimientos de continuidad junto con los de rupturas, así como la relación con otras experiencias publicadas desde otras perspectivas.

Computers have become an important part of young children's lives, both as a source of entertainment and education. The National Association for the Education of Young Children's (NAEYC) position statement on Technology and Young Children (2006) supports the need for equal access to technology for all children with attention to eliminating gender stereotypes. Some educators have observed that computers may have created gender inequities in access to and use of technology. Studies indicate that gender differences in young children's access and use of computers may be the outcome of environmental factors. This study provides a prototype of Real estate listing mobile application that has the capability to organize, store, maintain and search data from a Mobile Device such as android or iOS. This application helps the household owners to list their properties without any cost. This system comprises of a mobile app, Central Database, Satellite database and offline database system. It consists of software that combines one or more servers to the computer as well as to the Mobile user, making it a Mobile app and A Web Browser. Apple Mac OSX working framework can also be utilized to make this framework. This Suite of apparatuses involves graphical UI (GUI) based applications, command-line instruments, and documentation to help in the product advancement process. This will pave a way to formalize the much-neglected Former Homelands (Village Sector) and facilitate the development of an inclusive real estate Evaluation Data, thus, enabling access to areas where there has been no base price until now.

A university based mobile Maker program expanded the impacts of the land-grant mission by delivering relevant research-based STEM education using 4-H Youth Development delivery modes. The Making the Future after-school and summer camp program partnered with industry to fund the creative hands-on 21st Century STEAM/Maker programs for at-risk youth in southern Colorado.

History is a subject to which students may be resistant due to the nature of the content and the length of the texts involved.
Studies had also shown that for this subject, students find it difficult to memorize facts and events. However, technologies may
help to improve students’ learning, if designed in a meaningful way. Augmented Reality (AR) has been widely used in many areas
in enhancing students’ learning and understanding. Among the advantages of AR is that it offers a fun way of learning and also
triggers learners’ motivation to learn abstract topics. This study aims to examine the challenges students face in learning history
and their views on the use of AR-based learning materials in history. This single case study involved a group of form four students
(16-year-old secondary school students) who scored less than 40 percent during their early year assessment. The data for this
research was collected through one-to-one semi-structured interviews with all the respondents. The findings indicate factors the
made learning History a challenge to the students. However, students showed positive feedbacks on the use of AR-based booklet.
This paper further discusses the benefits of AR-based material to enhance students’ engagement as well as the limitations of ARbased integration in teaching and learning. The findings of this study also highlight the importance of learning activities designed
by educators to ensure that the planned activities have a positive impact on students’ meaningful learning.

This nationwide study explored the types and frequency of technology used by
teachers of deaf and hard-of-hearing (d/hh) students to design and deliver instruction, as
well as the types and frequency of technology being used by teachers of d/hh students to
promote communication and collaboration. It also examined the extent of professional
development in the area of technology use with d/hh students, and the related challenges
experienced by these teachers.

Important changes have taken place in the field of educational technology over the last few decades due to leaps in informatics, the explosive growth of the use of computers in schools, and the popularization of the Internet as a tool for teaching and learning. This scenario demands a broader understanding of the educational potential of new resources and didactic materials available to schools and innovative modes of individual and collective action in an increasingly digital society. Such changes have been faster since the start of the 21st century, which saw increased interest in educational technologies and many researchers orienting their studies to the modus operandi of the process of teaching and learning mediated by various types of digital technologies, be they presential, non-presential, hybrid, mobile, collaborative, cooperative, interactive, individualized, assistive, active, ubiquitous, and so on. With this, research in the field of educational technology has been consolidated and has begun to adopt methods of qualitative research that take account of this diversity of objects. This article seeks to point out the contributions of qualitative research methodologies in the formatting of this field of knowledge in Latin America. This is based on an examination of the most widely used scientific journals in the region, drawing on almost 100 articles published between 2016 and 2017. The analysis indicates that educational technology is evolving in Latin America, mainly due to the continuous and accelerated advance of digital information, communication, and expression technologies (DICETs). At the same time, there remains a great lack of scientific journals in the area, an issue that must be addressed given the strategic importance of this field of knowledge for the universalization of education in Latin America. Peer-reviewed journals have prioritized studies based on research and development (R&D) methods that emphasize media engineering for education and have a predominance of case studies. But they also present research problems related to qualitative issues that arise from the use of DICETs in specific teaching and learning situations. The scenario under analysis shows that research in this area has gradually evolved from a strongly technical perspective to a humanist one through qualitative analyses focusing on the limits and possibilities of DICETs. Thus, they raise important clues for future research, such as the challenges of adopting collaborative and interdisciplinary research approaches aimed at better understanding the processes and educational relations mediated by technologies; the new possibilities of hybrid education that can be addressed in different school contexts; and the question of teacher training for this new scenario. Such developments are crucial for advancing knowledge about educational technology in Latin America.

The Seminar is base on the use of multimedia in teaching and learning of computer science, and it also looks the impact of multimedia in Computer Science classroom, and also some roles that teacher can play by using of multimedia to enhance teaching and learning. Multimedia refers to various information forms text, image, audio, video,  graphics, and animation in a variety of application environments.  Word “multimedia” is widely used to mean many different things, multimedia can also be define as: Computer-based techniques of text, images, audio, video, graphics, animation, and any other medium where every type of information can be represented, processed, stored, transmitted, produced and presented digitally. The seminar is focus in  find out some positive impact of use of multimedia in our schools, and how to improve the use of multimedia in such way that can enhance teaching and learning of Computer Science. Education in the 21st Century is considered one of the basic needs in society, although millions of people are remaining out of the boundary of minimum literacy. In such circumstance, the digital age has come with a plethora of promises, in transforming the way people are living in the present, from earlier decades. Despite having inequalities in digital-initiated “equality,” developing education systems throughout the world are getting into touch with digital technology. Bangladesh, as a developing country with increased economic solvency, is enduring a metamorphosis in academic culture, more precisely in teaching and learning. The previous practice of pedagogues and learners are challenged by new age communication and the education system based on digital technology. This chapter investigates the essential characteristics of the transformation of teaching and learning in Bangladesh. It also examines the correlation with digital technology and academic factors in the contemporary education system and gives recommendations to overcome the crises still dwelling within the education framework.

The thesis, titled “Managing variety to establish viable videoconferencing in remote music tuition from an educational technologist’s viewpoint”, addresses the problem of how educational technologists can balance variety in a manner which enables technology to be involved in the teaching and learning so that it enhances the experience as opposed to hindering it. To this end a case study was conducted where an educational technologist attempted to establish viable videoconferencing to facilitate remote music tuition. The key milestones of the case study were then interpreted in light of the Viable System Model (Beer 1979, 1981, 1985). This analysis revealed that videoconferencing in one-to-one remote music lessons is viable, if the varieties between the users and the tools is balanced. In order to achieve such a balance, the right variety handling strategy needs to be chosen to attenuate or amplify variety in the right places. To do this, the users’ needs as well as the appropriateness of tools available have to be assessed, and the teaching-learning experience needs to be monitored to learn whether the teaching-learning experience is at the desired level of quality and whether teachers and students are able to use tools self-sufficiently. A variety handler’s ‘compass’, which offers recommended activities to achieve or maintain balance, and thereby viability, is presented at the end of the thesis.

This study was conducted to investigate the extent to which preservice teachers held alternative conceptions in elementary science concepts. Eighty-six preservice elementary teachers participated in this study. Twelve preservice elementary teachers participated in follow-up interviews. Data were collected through the use of Alternative Conceptions in Science Instrument (Schoon, & Boone, 1998), a participant information form and utilization of interviews. The results indicated that the majority of preservice elementary teachers (67.4%) held a number of alternative conceptions, mostly in the physical sciences. Various sources of alternative conceptions emerged during the interviews. Findings from the study also confirmed that science courses completed do not seem to have influenced participants' alternative conceptions.
