On starting to think about interaction design for low-functioning persons in the autistic spectrum (PAS), especially children, one finds a number of questions that are difficult to answer: Can we typify the PAS user? Can we engage the user in interactive communication without generating frustrating or obsessive situations? What sort of visual stimuli can we provide? Will they prefer representational or abstract visual stimuli? Will they understand three-dimensional (3D) graphic representation? What sort of interfaces will they accept? Can we set ambitious goals such as education or therapy? Unfortunately, most of these questions have no answer yet. Hence, we decided to set an apparently simple goal: to design a "fun application," with no intention to reach the level of education or therapy. The goal was to be attained by giving the users a sense of agency--by providing first a sense of control in the interaction dialogue. Our approach to visual stimuli design has been based on the use of geometric, abstract, two-dimensional (2D), real-time computer graphics in a full-body, non-invasive, interactive space. The results obtained within the European-funded project MultiSensory Environment Design for an Interface between Autistic and Typical Expressiveness (MEDIATE) have been extremely encouraging.

The task of tracing the new frontiers of the political implies a critical effort that faces a double difficulty: first of all, the confrontation between contemporary political theory and the virtual speed of the present that results in a complex delimitation and circumscription of a new hermeneutic horizon of the public space; and a second obstacle that consists of the construction of the concept of Cyberpolitics itself that, by its paradigmatic nature, involves a transformation and metamorphosis which we will also try to map. Аннотация. В исследовании рассматривались психологические характеристики киберспортсменов: свойства нервной системы, мотивы киберспортивной деятельности, волевые качества личности, направленность личности в игровом процессе (коллективизм-индивидуализм) и особенности принятия решений. Выбор этих характеристик был сделан на основании пилотажного исследования, в котором изучались мнения экспертов (профессиональных киберспортсменов) о психологических факторах успешности в данном виде спортивной деятельности. Выборка исследования включала 56 респондентов в возрасте от 17 до 29 лет (средний возраст-22 года). Основную группу исследования составили 42 человека-участника киберспортивных игр, объединенные в 3 подгруппы по 14 человек в соответствии с дисциплинами компьютерного спорта, в которых соревнуются данные игроки (класс «Шутеры», класс «MOBA», класс «Файтинги»). Критерием для отбора респондентов являлось участие в киберспортивных турнирах, проходящих в off-line режиме. В число участников исследования вошли: экс-чемпионка России по дисциплине «Tekken Tag Tournament», рейтинговые участники международных соревнований, участники профессиональных киберспортивных команд, а также призёры соревнований различного уровня. В зависимости от вида компьютерной игры киберспортсмены различаются по частным свойствам нервной системы («сила тормозного процесса» и «инертность нервных процессов»), выраженности мотива «коллективистская направленность», по общему показателю воли и волевым качествам инициативность, энергичность, смелость и деловитость; на уровне тенденции представлены различия по частному свойству нервной системы «сила возбудительного процесса». Влияние игрового стажа проявляется в различиях по парным факторам темперамента S и N (снижается склонность к поведению типа S и увеличивается, к поведению типа N); влияние времени, уделяемого киберспорту, проявляется в различиях по волевым качествам ответственность, инициативность, энергичность; влияние успешности в киберспорте влияет на мотивацию и волевые качества киберспортсменов. На основе анализа эмпирических данных были составлены типологические портреты представителей трёх классов киберспортивных дисциплин («Шутеры», «MOBA» и «Файтинги»). We are happy to announce the second interdisciplinary online scholarly conference within a cycle entitled Humans in a Technological World: The Anthropology of Technics. This event is hosted by The Philosophy of Technics Student Circle and the Institute of Philosophy of The Jagiellonian University, which is among the earliest and most prominent universities in Central and Eastern Europe. The conference will take place on May 9-10, 2019 in a virtual location used by Academia Electronica of The Institute of Philosophy at the Jagiellonian University, which functions within the virtual environment of Second Life (we will provide all essential information in the conference brochure). On the first day of the conference we will hold a meeting devoted to the establishment of The Polish Society of The Philosophy of Technics.
This conference, which will entirely take place in Second Life, aims to develop interdisciplinary dialogue within the field of anthropological technics and to integrate researchers who address subjects related to the role and place of humans in a dynamically changing world of technological and technical expansion. In particular, we are eager to listen to speakers who intend, through anthropological analysis, to discuss issues relating humans to the development of computer and information technology, the virtual environment, and a wide-range approach to artificial intelligence (automation, self-sustainability, and the singularity).
Due to the fact that technoanthropology is a relatively recent scientific discipline, we cordially invite all researchers of related fields such as cyber anthropology, digital anthropology, technoself-studies. We also welcome researchers from the fields of the philosophy of technology, psychology, literature studies, scholars of new media, members of the electronic art community and those who tackle topics associated with transhumanism and posthumanism.

The modern information space is underscored by subversive and dividing themes including 'Nationalism', Fake News, Historical Monument debate, foreign nationals, and cyber warfare. Each of these may seem like a new developments and evolution in political psychology. But, they are all recycled bits that first emerged collectively in 2007 when Estonia was at odds with Russian political ideology. This presentation investigates the Bronze Night Revolution of not only cyber-warfare, but Psychological Warfare and exploitation of the Human Domain.

Resumen
Las Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación se han desarrollado con rapidez integrándose en la vida cotidiana de los adolescentes y los jóvenes. Por ello, esta investigación con diseño no-experimental y transversal analizó las diferencias por sexo en el uso problemático del internet, el cyberbullying y la ciber-violencia de pareja; así como la posible relación entre las variables mencionadas. La muestra fue conformada por 456 estudiantes, procedentes de dos universidades
mexicanas, con edades entre 17 y 30 años (M = 19,86; DT = 2,12). Los resultados mostraron pocas diferencias entre hombres y mujeres; asimismo se presentaron correlaciones bajas positivas entre la mayoría de los indicadores de uso problemático de internet con ciberbullying; el uso problemático de internet y ciber-violencia de pareja; y entre ciberbullying y ciber-violencia de pareja. Se concluyó que las conductas violentas de jóvenes mediante nuevas tecnologías parecen generalizarse a las relaciones entre pares y de pareja. Se discuten los resultados destacando la necesidad de más estudios sobre estos fenómenos cada vez más presentes en jóvenes.

Abstract
The Information and Communication Technologies have developed at a fast pace, integrating themselves in the daily life of adolescents and young people. For this reason, this non-experimental cross-sectional study analyzed the gender differences in problematic Internet use, cyberbullying and cyber-violence, as well as the possible relationship between these variables. The sample consisted of 456 students, from two Mexican universities, aged between 17 and 30 years (M = 19,86; DT = 2,12). The results showed few significant differences between men and women; likewise, significant positive correlations were found between most of indicators of problematic Internet use with cyberbullying; between problematic Internet use and cyber dating violence; and between cyberbullying and cyber dating violence. It was concluded that violent behavior of young people through new technologies seems to be generalized to relationships with peers and couples. It was discussed the results highlighting the need for more studies on these phenomena increasingly present in young people.

One of the ideas for improving urban green spaces is adding to them a virtual dimension, or, in other words, equipping them with some kind of technological infrastructure. Such spaces, combining nature with technology, are named in many terms, e.g. outdoor cyber-mediated spaces, technologically enhanced urban green spaces, blended digital/urban green spaces or – which is the most precise – hybrid spaces. A hybrid space is quite an innovative solution, because traditionally the natural environment and digital domains are seen as distinctly different. In addition, researchers agree that hybrid spaces offer an attractive learning context, although little is known about learning in hybrid spaces. This chapter defines learning in hybrid spaces as technology-enhanced outdoor learning, and discusses such contextual key terms as technology-enhanced learning, and outdoor learning, as well as the technological requirements for technology-enhanced outdoor learning, selected technologies of technology-enhanced outdoor learning, namely personal digital assistants, e-libraries, quick response codes, Kinect-laptop-integrated system, geographic positioning system, digital textbooks, cloud computing. Finally, it offers design guidelines for technology-enhanced outdoor learning. This can be useful for anyone interested in the educational use of hybrid spaces.

Background
Videogame addiction has been suggested as a tentative disorder in 2013 by the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and was recently officially recognized as a mental health disorder by the World Health Organization (WHO). Although a few studies have identified attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) as a key risk factor for Internet Gaming Disorder (IGD), the interplay between ADHD and IGD symptoms with gender differences across cultures remains to be further examined.

Objective
This study examined the moderating effects of gender in the association between ADHD and IGD across two nations.

Method
A cross-sectional online survey was developed to recruit 164 Australian (Mage = 23.01, SD = 3.35, Minage = 18, Maxage = 31, Males n = 121, 73.80%) and 457 U.S.-North American (Mage = 25.25 years, SD = 2.76, Minage = 18 years, Maxage = 29 years, Males = 265, 57.98%) Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) players aged between 18 and 29 years.

Results
The hierarchical linear regression, moderation and moderated moderation analyses revealed that participants presenting greater inattention and hyperactivity symptoms exhibited higher levels of IGD-related behaviors in the two samples. Moreover, these associations differed across genders between the two countries. Specifically, more hyperactive-impulsive, as well as inattentive males in the USA presented higher levels of disordered gaming.

Conclusion
The results highlight the need for more cross-cultural and symptom-focused research in the broader IGD field.

La copiosa casistica affrontata ha riguardato decine di individui di sesso maschile e femminile, di età compresa tra i 18 e i 75 anni, di differente residenza (anche se concentrati nella Regione Emilia Romagna), di differente status socio-economico, scolarizzazione e impiego/professione esercitato/a. Tra i soggetti intervistati vi sono rappresentanti della Classe Medica, paramedica, delle istituzioni locali, deI mondo giuridico, sportivo, scientifico, universitario, imprenditoriale e scolastico.

Background and aims: Research has shown that personality traits play an important role in problematic internet use (PIU). However, the relationship between dark personality traits (i.e., Machiavellianism, psychopathy, narcissism, sadism, and spitefulness) and PIU has yet to be investigated. Consequently, the objectives of this study were to investigate the relationships of dark traits with specific online activities (i.e., social media, gaming, gambling, shopping, and sex) and PIU. Methods: A total of 772 university students completed a self-report survey, including the Dark Triad Dirty Dozen Scale, Short Sadistic Impulse Scale, Spitefulness Scale, and an adapted version of the Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale. Results: Hierarchical regression analysis and a multiple mediation model indicated that being male was positively associated with higher online gaming, online sex, and online gambling, and negatively associated with social media and online shopping. Narcissism was related to higher social media use; Machiavellianism was related to higher online gaming, online sex, and online gambling; sadism was related to online sex; and spitefulness was associated with online sex, online gambling, and online shopping. Finally, Machiavellianism and spitefulness were directly and indirectly associated with PIU via online gambling, online gaming, and online shopping, and narcissism was indirectly associated with PIU through social media use. Discussion: Findings of this preliminary study show that individuals high in dark personality traits may be more vulnerable in developing problematic online use and that further research is warranted to examine the associations of dark personality traits with specific types of problematic online activities.

One of the relatively new negative consequences of smartphone use is Bphubbing^ (snubbing someone while an individual checks their smartphone in the middle of a real-life conversation). The purpose of the present study was to investigate the direct and indirect associations of neuroticism, trait anxiety, and trait fear of missing out with phubbing via state fear of missing out and problematic Instagram use. A total of 423 adolescents and emerging adults aged between 14 and 21 years (53% female) participated in the study. Findings indicated that females had significantly higher scores of phubbing, fear of missing out, problematic Instagram use, trait anxiety, and neuroticism. Path analysis showed that trait fear of missing out and neuroticism were indirectly associated with phubbing via state fear of missing out and problematic Instagram use. State fear of missing out was directly and indirectly associated with phubbing via problematic Instagram use. The present study is the first to demonstrate empirical evidence for the relationship between different dimensions of fear of missing out, problematic Instagram use, and phubbing.
